Not having the adjustment tool myself. I put a piece of 1/8 in. fuel line on both adjustment bolts and it seems to work great with a small flat screwdriver. Just a backwoods option.
yep that’s how my craftsman saw acted as well. wouldn’t idle more than a second or two. the best way to fix it is to throw it in the trash and buy an echo or a stihl
This model is the same saw as my Poulin. Actually a good saw but like any you can’t leave it sit for extended time with old gas. Especially gas that’s not ethanol free. But even than the oil and fuel will crystallize. Stihl ,echo or husky are definitely much better.
Maybe you could get further away from the camera when you adjust the carburetor and if you know that isnt the correct way to start it, why show ppl the wrong way? If you knew better youd do better.

Love the ingenuity. That’s how you get things done and thanks for the tech tip.

The vent is probably clogged. You can try to clean it but I would recommend replacing the cap. Most I tried to clean ended up leaking
New Craftsman chainsaw s180 will not stay running
