"a cardinal once tried to test me, I ate his liver with the body of Christ and a nice Malbec"
Bergoglio is argentinian, it would be malbec
It was actually Chianti
Astonishing script and performances ..I saw this at the cinema.First class
This is so painful to watch as someone who understands both sides of the argument and loves both of these popes.
It takes one to keep the other in line.
It is in many ways like watching parents who disagree on how to raise a child. Both love the child. They're motivates are noble but their methods are imperfect. A well written and well acted movie.
The writers of this movie is top notch
Wise wise wise words I love this segment of doctrine come from the heart , I believe it comes with such a power of love and truth
This was a nice movie
Only Jesus can cleanse sin he is our intercessor
Actually Jesus have the apostles authority to forgive sins or retain them. I can show you the verse if you like. Apostolic tradition is a real thing
@@nathanoppy Show the verses?
@@scinatit John 20:23
There are others as well but that is what he was specifically referring to I'm sure
1:49 he touches it with a needle..
Two world treasures

God doesn’t need confession, he wants repentance and faith. He already knows what you did.
Confession is repentence
The point of the sacrament is not raising God's awareness
@@MS-dc1iu it is only the start. confession is the first step in repentance
He doesn't need anything from us
@@MS-dc1iu Confessing is not the same as remorse. It is not the same as trying to amend the foul deed.
Even the Pope or priest or cardinal must confess to Me only me why because they see my DNA
"We belived, it´s better nine children sufferd, then if nine MILLION lost their faith because of the scandal"!
Who does he accuse in this moment? Who is "WE", if not the Pope...and Bergolio himself? I don´t belive such conversation really took place! This is an attempt of image care!
Watch documentaries on those priests who have abused children and they forgive themselves so easily apparently..
They don't forgive themselves. They ask God for it, and they only really get it if it's sincere. But as Francis says here, forgiveness is not enough. There has to be more, for the victim.
@@naponroyexactly, as he says sin is a wound. It's a wound not just on the sinners soul but on the world. The pain filters into others things we often focus on justice either punitive or Reformative but the wound must be treated
