- Part 4 | In todays video we answer the age-old question, can a uk falconer pass an American exam. UK falconer attempts American exam, can I pass an American Falconry exam. Here in England we don’t have falconry exams, seriously anyone can buy a bird of prey and call them a falconer, so I have never taken a Falconer exam. So what happens when me, a British falconer tries American exam? Get ready for the epic smackdown of UK VS USA Falconry!!!! Not really its just me answering general falconry questions, the exam is HUGE, so I decided for this video I would take the third part of the exam on other falconry birds. Well, there's operative conditioning in action. If it weren't 8:30 AM I'd join you to celebrate 26 correct out of 30. Yeah! Common sense in animal handling, rehabbing a couple of corvidae, and a decent working knowledge of medieval history. This was so much fun. After I watch my way through all your other vids I might be able to pass the exam for real. If I find myself a widow any time soon maybe I will seek out that apprenticeship.
Giant-hood is a carrying box, I thought the name was funny myself. In America the hunting season is for the animal you're hunting for, if the bird catches something out of season he can eat it, just not allowed to bag it.
Ah that makes a bit more sense now, I was just picturing a really big hood 😂

This was so much fun! I'm a US-American who learned falconry in Germany, and I've loved all of your Ami-test videos. Tonight with the added lure of you testing with shots, I got my German husband to watch with me (new like & follower, by the way). We both LOL'd when you said, "Oh my word, Americans..." about the measurements!! I've heard such from him many times. Although I'm a native speaker of English, I learn often from you that there are many English falconry terms I don't know! I should start taking notes... Hope you didn't have too much of a headache the morning after shooting this video! And I'm very glad you gave up the chilis. 😅🍺
I got very drunk when I went to Germany, they certainly know how to have a good time over there 😂

I didn't pass the first time so am going back to retake soon.
Taking it anyway (needed more study time) helped me to narrow down what to study harder.
It doesn’t surprise me that people don’t pass the first time, there really are some bizarre questions, let me know how the second time round goes for you and good luck!

Awesome you can pass the American Falconry Exam. Just one note, in the US you MUST hunt your birds to be a falconer. Have you ever hunted your birds?
Yes
A yard is three feet, comparable to a meter. An American football field is 100 yards, so 50 yards is half of that. Maybe that will help you visualize the distance. Well done! I didn't vote for Trump. :)

Hard to even picture how long IS a football field when one havent been next to one!
Also, voting for Hillary wasnt any better. Choices you had were bad and worse and in that particular case, Hillary seemed to be slightly crazy, slightly psychopathic and slightly megalomaniac!
