Colgate was on fire from the 3 line, but good adjustments and tight defense forced them off and Wisconsin's ice cold start gave way.
Really close game until Wisconsin finally started heavily guarding the three point line. Colgate hit their first 6 threes of the second half. Insane
Great game overall though
For a while Colgate looked like the 2017 Warriors from the 3 point line. Wisconsin absolutely had to earn that one.
Johnny Davis really closed out this game for Wisconsin. From 7:50 in the video until the end of the game, he scored Wisconsin's final 14 points of the game

He’s the only hooper on their team , the only guy that has a real pro future . This Wisconsin team is really underwhelming when they run into 5 athletes they’ll be done

@@bencitodifferent2797 The Beauty if march madness is that's not always true. Kentucky has 10+ athletes on that team and they looked like the inferior team almost the entire game and lost.
Props to Colgate as a Wisconsin fan. Frustrating to watch you guys hit some CRAZY 3s. Definitely gave us a run for our money. Hopefully we can do you proud and make a run.

Colgate is one of those teams you never want to see pop up on the line next to yours as a high seed. Kind of like Vermont - they might not win but they will definitely give a favored team their money's worth.

It was really back and forth. Wisconsin just got the hot hand at the most important time. As an upstate native it was fun to watch Colgate get an opportunity to showcase how good they are getting.

Yeah Wisconsin just understood that Colgate was only scoring from 3 so they'd played prevent on three point shots. Thats why Colgate only had 4 points from the ten minute mark until 15 seconds left

Johnnyk Davis & Tyler Wahl stood out and took the game from Colgate. Liking Ben Carlson & Chris Voght games. Chucky Hepburn is steady. A fun game and great win for the Badgers.

You could tell it wasn't gonna be a deep March run for Wisconsin after they struggled that much just to beat Colgate.

At the 6:40 mark how is that not a foul on the three. Game over after the dunk.
There were two obvious fouls against colgate on wide open layups in the first half that weren't called. You can go both ways on calls that that. Not to mention the cummings guard for colgate pulled off every single time and it was never called. Plenty of calls went both ways
No ref is gonna call a foul when you flail your body like that.

Colgate is the ultimate one-trick pony. All they can do is shoot threes, and if you can stop it, they will wither and die. Once Wisconsin made those second half adjustments, Colgate just passed the ball around the perimeter hoping there would be someone open, but there wasn't, leading to horrifically bad shots. Learn how to score inside and maybe you can win a tournament game for once.

Johnny Davis is why Wisconsin got a favorable bracket! The league wants the "Big Ten Player of the Year" and possibly the "National Player of the Year" to see as many games as possible. It's all about ratings man!
