burns was cookin
Colgate one of those teams that live and die by the 3. They were knocking them out today.
And alot of them, especially from burns, were well guarded but they were just falling and you cant stop that
Toothpaste tried but just couldn't top the Vols!
Mad respect for Colgate! Heck of a try. Good luck next season. Go Vols!

This quadrant of the tournament that year was one of the best ever - Iowa/Cincinnati, Tennessee/Colgate, Tennessee/Iowa, Purdue/Tennessee, Virginia/Oregon, Virginia/Purdue - so many fantastic games in one region. One of the best regions in the history of the tournament.

@@benmangrum8626 Colgate attempted 56 shots.... 29 threes.... 27 twos.... they made 15 threes.... they made 10 twos.... So they shot 51.7% from three... and 37.0% from two.... that's not basketball. That's globetrotter basketball. A freak show. Something that simply should not exist. It's not like Colgate are the Warriors, but it was their only chance. The game couldn't have possibly gone any more perfect for them, and they still lost.

Ben Mangrum when a team win 30 games, its hard to call this luck. This is a grit it out and grind team who has no highly sought after players from high school. So again if u know anything about competition and how hard it is to just get in march madness,🤦♂️ lol win is a win
