I never heard of using deodorant or bars of soap to stop a squeaky belt 😂 the home remedies that people think of are funny. I will tell you if it does work it will only be temporary. There are a couple things that will let the belt squeak. The most common one is rust or roughness on the pulleys where the belt rides. Another issue can be the spring loaded belt tensioner seizing up and not being able to move freely while the engine is running. Alignment of the pressed on power steering pump pulley can also cause the belt to squeak but not very common. If the tensioner moves nice and free and not lose where it pivots and belt alignment is straight and your belt still squeaks what needs to be done is this. Take the belt off and wire wheel or sandblast all the steel pulleys then paint the pulleys with any color raddle paint can. Let the paint dry then put your belt back on fire it up and your squeak will be gone for ever

Silicone spray, not a permanent solution, but coat it good while running, and itll stop for a month give, or take.
The trick is it doesnt stop it from slipping, it just lubricates it so it doesnt squeal when it slips
If the pulley isnt THAT STUCK, itll last quite a while, when i NEEDS replaced, it does this

My 6.0 does that with any new belt except a motorcraft. They are textured on the non ribbed side
Put it on the inside of the belt on the pullys it work much better that the outside

I check the tensioner and all pully alignment, and if that's good, replace the belt.
You've got to apply it on the down side of the loop not the up for it to really work 😉
