hi i’m wren and i’m a 27yo trans woman living in the states👋
randomly finding this recommended video and listening to this whole talk was a GIFT at the end of pride month.
i wasn’t sure what to expect in video stucture at first, but was quickly fascinated in this extensive talk about queer media and history.
i’ve watched documentaries and studied queer history of life before & after stonewall before, but hearing this chat with real life experiences, examples of queer media in recent history, and even discussing events of modern day was extremely eye-opening and refreshing (to the full extent of those words).
It’s important (as it’s often glaced over in education and media) to remember and review how far things have come through the actions of the queer community before me.
