Same for me the usual reasons why I stopped in the middle of countless series is either because I don't have all of the books or I lost interest for a while then wanted to get back to reading it but I forgot everything and therefore felt like I had to reread the first books
Audiobooks are a blessing for us chronic multitaskers that cannot accept to do just one thing.

I'm reading ToG for the first time and I finished Assassin's Blade last night. I read it after Heir of Fire and I whole heartedly agree with this route. There are so many lines and circumstances that hit so much harder when you've read the first three books.
Ur videos are so comforting, I was just in a reading slump( I really don't know why), Huge bundles of love❤❤ for u.
Also, the truly devious series is the best one I have really read
okay the carrie can read recap is so real🫢🫢 i love her recaps sm because when i read a book over three months ago i literally forget almost everything except the basic plot, so they are a real lifesaver😭😭😭

After writing down several of your recommendations, I went to my local library and snagged a few. I read "Five Survive" in less than two days! You should totally read the next two in the Truly Devious series, the 4th one is AMAZING!! 5th is ok, but setting is AWESOME!
I started with Assassin's Blade as it was more like a prequel for Throne of glass. It took me 3 days to stop my shakiness of what happened to you know who. Another few days to stop rethinking about torture. Finally my body is ready for Throne of glass. I am glad
I read Assassins blade first because it gave backstory...powerful...heartbreaking..traumatizing backstory that now I can root for Caelina. before I didnt like her almost quit series. But by the end of Assassins blade, I cant wait to see her revenge (look up trigger warning before reading Assassins blDE)

sooo excited for you to read TOG and fall in love its my favourite SJM series!! I also read AB 4th and I think it was perfect for everything that came after. I think reading AB first is good for people who find the beginning of the series hard to get into 😊

I loved the truly devious trilogy! My favorite book was actually the fourth, The Box in the Woods. While it's technically a standalone, I view it as part of the series because it has many of the same characters. I definitely recommend it!

love love loved this video. a few series I’ve been debating reading that I think I will pick up now. BUT on the topic of throne of glass. I’m currently reading it for the first time. I’m on queen of shadows right now, and I read assassin’s blade after heir of fire and personally I think that was the absolute best way to read it. the payoff was so satisfying

The way you explained your feelings on A Curse for True Love was so spot on, I totally agree. I rated the first book 4.5, second book flying past 5 stars (I am not mentally okay), and then 4.5 for the last. I loved it, but I just wish so badly that we got more tension and time with Jacks. The end definitely did feel like a fever dream, I feel like I almost “trust” ABONA more than I do ACFTL. A little disappointing, but I still love that series to death. Cant wait to read Caraval.
I still have to read The Ballad of Never After and Curse for True Love but I NEED the UK edition of those books, they are stunning 😍
