Ship in a Bottle insertion tool

For my ship-in-a bottle project, I made this tool for controlling the orientation of objects inside a bottle. Demonstrated here is the use of heavy paper attached to it as a gauge to determine the clearance dimension between the wood strip that the ship will mount to and the bottle side.
I plan on using this tool for inserting the ship's masts when the time comes and I'll probably post a video of it.
