Sucks he didn't tilt the camera up. Could have been one of the best.
As a snowboarder I have gained a whole lot of respect for the skiing done through the GoPro series.....loving the lines and the hucking off the cliffs
+Edward R. Kluka III same
As an ex skier and current snowboarder... couldn't agree more. These guys are monsters. I definitely plan to go back to skiing when I'm older
Finally! A ski resort I’ve gone to got line of the winter!
Anyone who dislikes GoPro Line of the Winter videos are those who submitted theirs and are jealous that other videos are better or comparable than theirs and disliking it will somehow make their video better. But here's the truth, all skiing/boarding videos should be appreciated within their skill because this a community not a competition. Watching these videos should be an excitement to get on the slopes and not a judgment. Fuck i want to shred this run.
Well that was sketchy. Looked fun though... except for the awful camera angle. Now I gotta work out the pain I have developed in my neck
1:13 that was close dude. Uncrossed your skis right before the drop.
Need to tilt the camera up... dont know why he thinks we want to stare at his skis more than where hes skiing...
Nathaneal Horton you're 1 year late on that reply, and also, you can put the gopro in a strap on the helmet... he's dangling his fucking gopro to look at his feet.
At Snowbird there is never anything to see anyways. It's always snowing.
@@kevinl8440 true haha
Will L i like seeing skis
@@divinrth5187 I'm 2 years late on this reply but no, he has it mounted to his helmet. Look at his shadow, and take 3 seconds to look up "do gopro helmet mounts exist"
I'm always blown away by how strong these skiers are. Awesome
My legs are tired from watching this
I agree about the camera angle but... wow! What an amazing use of control and line choice, this guy can really crush it! Lots of negative comments for this vid, we are all waiting for your go pro submissions pulling off the same rock band jumps!
this is amazing, great job
Gosh I love powder.. For me it makes me less sketched out to try new things because if I fall it's more forgiving
Taylor Friberg tru
not allot of powder to be fair its like a few inch thick not feet but still a sick video
Sending it bud. Crazy part is, I'm a local at Snowbird, and I can't even figure out what line this is, because all of Snowbird is that rowdy.
Yeah, I was thinking the same basic thing. Great skiing, but the camera work was lacking. Great ripping Mr. Merril!!
Camera viewing angle isn't tall enough, it's important to see the skis, but also there's not enough vision downhill.
It's in between P-Tex point and Dalton's, I think. Then again, I thought it was Doors at first...
You're right. It's under the tram and it's the shot skiers right of Dalton's I think.
i cant see anything but his skis
This one’s awesome
Awesome
and we have the winner!
I always wanted to see snow, and i want to skii too.
From Utah all the way to Northern BC, we get the best snow
My legs are burning
cool bro, non stop when hard to see.
bruh the camera mount is bad but insane line, i think if it was tilted up would've been a lot smoother. Still insane, especially the 2nd cliff.
Sick line, i wish I could do off piste, it would make good videos for my channel
this woulda been pretty sick if we could see anything I think
Beautiful run but I can’t place it. It looks like you ended up under Gadzoom below Get serious chutes or carbonate cliffs but those chutes are short with nothing above them. Does anybody know?
near dalton's draw, peruvian side
Nice run. Does anybody know the skis brand? Thanks for the help
I believe these are skis from the company amplid.
THIS WAS MY BIRTHDAY.....doesn't really matter BUT STILL THIS WAS ON MY BIRTHDAY
Crap camera angle. Line of the week maybe
Now try that on 223cm not 123cm. Glen Plake would on Downhill racing skis.
Ugh so jelly.
Gnar
Meanwhile I cant survive a 1 meter jump...
Lol I know this kid
dizzy within 3 secs lol
camera angle dude
why are the lines of the year always on crap cameras that are angled down? Everytime the screen goes white who knows if he edited in a different run? And it's always skiers... it's not even impressive on skis.
snowboard = impressive and skis are not impressive? loool
few cliff drops, couple 360s ..sounds like an average run for some folks
You obviously haven’t aired into daltons before 😑
can't see anything but his skis, boring video
mean
Terrible angle. Sucks could have been great!
Gosh these gopro US lines are pathetic... I am very fortunate to ski in Europe! Here that "I can ski on a flat surface" kind of stuff would not even qualify as a "good" line.
well when you're ready for more than just 1000cm annual snowfall let us know and you're welcome to drop in :)
would like to see you put up a video then
@@skonerism Do you seriously think this is impressive?
Oh god please come to snowbird so I can take you to the top of this line and leave your ass in the dust. You don’t understand how wild some of the things he threw in this video are in real life
@@801actioncam Boasting on the internet is cheap, so if you think you would leave my ass in the dust, good for you. I'm pretty sure you have terrific lines over there, Snowbird is a well-respected place, but this line is just not a "Line of the winter".
