Been following Hamilton since I got into F1 in 2007. What a masterclass. Legendary
i was wrong to think that he win 7 titles because of the car. but now i watch this and i am no doubt he is the greatest f1 driver for the time being.
Question. Didn't Schumacher also have the best car when he won his titles? The 2000-2004 Ferraris were incredibly fast and above all reliable. What most people forget is that Bridgestone tailored their tires to fit the Ferraris so it's no wonder they worked the best. Back then there was also limitless testing which meant that Ferrari could test every single day if they wanted to. You know, the 2002 and 2004 Ferraris had a bigger performance advantage over all other cars than Mercedes has now.
Senna? Same story. His 1988 McLaren was probably the most dominant car in F1 history - in some races it was almost 3 seconds a lap faster than the 2nd fastest car. The 1990 and 1991 McLarens were the overall best car those years so Senna had the best car.
Prost? Same story. One can argue his 1986 McLaren was worse than the 1986 Williams but the 1986 McLaren was still derived from the dominant 1984 and 1985 McLarens which easily won the titles those years.
How did Fangio win his titles? He had the best car all those years he won. Maybe not in 1951 because the Alfa was basically a modified pre-war car.
The thing is this: The best drivers end up in the best cars. The best teams always want to hire the best drivers and the best drivers want to drive for the best teams. Another thing: The best drivers provide input and motivation for the teams to do better. Mercedes wasn't a top team when Hamilton joined them at the end of 2012. They had finished 5th in the standings. McLaren hadn't had a world champion in 9 years when Hamilton won the drivers' title in 2008 - and the Ferrari was arguably the better car that year.
And the bottom line is that Hamilton beat record-young double-world champion Fernando Alonso at McLaren in 2007 when Hamilton was just a rookie in F1. Whoever can beat Alonso in the same car is very good, whoever can beat him as a rookie in his first year in F1 is a legend.
Btw, the 2017 Ferrari was roughly equal to the 2017 Mercedes and the 2018 Ferrari was tipped by experts to be the fastest car. But Vettel cracked under pressure. Hamilton didn't.
Senna and Schumi win championship with more dominant car, Lewis also wins with 2008 McLaren..

Lewis is the best F1 Driver in F1history. If anyone doubt n says it's because of the car ,then they have to think n ask themselves is it really ? or Is it because of the his skin colour? To decide n choose the right team ,at the right time are also the good quality of a great sportsman. Without the driver how good the car is ,it won't go n win the race itself. Anyone with a brain knows it's the car is also built for him so he has an advantage over his teammate. Anyone who watches real racing sports know one person can't possibly get away from the pack without the best machine.

Also the car is going to be designed a little more around Lewis as he is the raining world champion. But not number 1 driver as Mercedes don't have that with in their team.

Not gonna lie. It feels like hamilton just has the better car all the time, but i dont think anyone on the grid would have the success he had even with that. With time everyone will realise what a champ he is. For me its just hard to put hiim infront of Michael. At least for now. If he stays for a bit longer and has the same form. He is definitely the GOAT.

What a brilliant career so far, well disserved Sir Lewis C D Hamilton. I have not seen such a long summary of this man's career and its good to find it in one place. Very aggressive start to his F1 career and nobody helped him in that first season. I think we can always remember the shocked look of the faces of the other drivers when Hamilton did what he did, totally consistent from day one.

Why sad. If you watch it you watch it. End of. He's not worried, made millions, ran away from his obligations as soon as he got his first F1 chq not wanting to pay taxes. He would still have been rich beyond normal measure. Shows the richer you get the less you want to help the society thru taxes that socially paid your bills ie me & millions others.
@@seltaeb9691 do real research and not what you hear from other and you want to pay attention to. Mercedes f1 team is a British based company. They pay all the drivers and crew tax and insurance as law in the UK. The only thing close to tax invasion he ever done wasn't illegal, Lewis brought a boat, the team who deal with Lewis finance did the rest and they transferred the boat to Island then to South of France not paying the tax on it, for a start it wasn't illegal to do this and the other thing it was he's finances team not Lewis. They have since closed this loop hole. Apart from that one thing he's paying tax.

Yeah it could be very special. Athletes have much longer careers now thanks to nutrition and sport science. Look at Tom Brady 43 or Federer 39 or Ronaldo 36 still performing at the top level. These are 3 athletes live and breath their sport no alcohol crazy diets all sorts. Lewis does the same thing he can go much much longer. Its only just started.

A true fighter, say all you want about Hamilton, but he is a fighter. For me, he is better than Michael, of Course Mercedes has a big part on his champioship, but as we can see with Bottas, the car is not everything. Sure is boring to see one Driver win every year, but he deserves it.
Bottas is very weak driver. Russel is much better than him. Rosberg was not as good driver to beat Hamilton but he did it. Verstappen, Leclerc, Riccardo could crushed Hamilton in Mercedes. If he wants show everyone to say i am the best driver he musthave in his team driver from the top and win. For me now Hamilton is very good but i am not sure that he is the best right now.

Sports were originally segregated because White self-haters feared their notions of superiority would be rendered hollow by Black excellence, and baseball hitters smashing pitchers out of stadiums and squares in the 1870's. Throughout sports such ceilings placed upon Black performance occurred in Football, cricket, tennis, boxing, athletics. Now along comes Hamilton and the self-haters are out in force. All of them dishonest as to why they denigrate his achievements. Some say he pays no UK tax! Imean this is how they operate..Some say he allows himself to spoerswash despotic regimes, then others say he should stay out of politics..A few years back the 'Car' theory caught on. Yesterday in Bahrain, a driver with a car 0.4 seconds per lap faster than Hamilton's car was unable to secure a win..the haters accused Hamilton of cheating, of rules rewritten to favour him, of there being a fix to ensure Hamilton's victory..ANYTHING other than these self-haters admitting their notions of racial superiority are under threat. Anything other than these self-haters admitting their fear of inability to compete.. When Hamilton eclipsed Alonso, Spanish self-haters did blackface opposite the pit lane with 'Hamilton Family' scrawled on white tee-shirts. I'm humbled by the strength of a guy who as a child had the self-belief to say he'll settle his scores on the track. What is so sad is these self-haters seek to restrict a world to their tiny minded fears of extinction. A melanated guy driving machinery around a track is enough to ignite such fears..pathetic!
So the man is not just about the car albeit that he is in the best car... he has been a star all his life and is now just ripping from the toil of his hard labor. Well if building your way to the top isn’t the definition of success I don’t know what else is. He showed his worth to be in a top car and yeah it has become a lot easier but he proved beyond doubt that he is one of the greatest if not the GOAT.
If Hamilton is in a title fight with any driver in the world, always bet on Hamilton THE GOAT💜💜

It's a full gone conclusion that Lewis Hamilton is the master when it comes to "pressure" I have not seen any other F1 driver that can drive even better when the odds are stacked against him, time and time again, it's true !! he really does rise above it...Still He Rises !!

Sir Lewis Hamilton, must be the first guy with neck tattoos to be knighted. I personally have no tattoos but I believe he has well and truely earned his knighthood. You can argue until you are blue in the face that he has the best equipment blah blah but the best drivers get the best cars .I believe he has earned that title because he never gives up and while he is a super aggressive driver he is FAIR, no deliberate crashing into opponents to win, no holding up an opponent in the pits to ruin a qualifying lap, no deliberate accidents to ruin a qualifying lap, no petulant and dangerous banging of wheels due to a perceived brake check. Follows team orders and has handed back the lead of a race due to prior agreements. I could go on but I don’t need too. Had he made less favourable team choices he may not be a multiple world champion but in the rain I’d back him in a third rate car against almost any one except Max driving a first rate car. He may not be your goat but he is mine and I’ve watched every F1 race since 1980. Go Lewis, make it 8!

I was/am still a BIG fan of Michael Schumacher, Huge fan, I even got my son to be a fan at 3 years old, we're usually very involved- with our hands to the TV screen when pretending to hold the wheel and driving when the car's cockpit is in view... But now, Lewis, after Sir Schumacher's retirement became my favourite- And what a treat to watch this man race:-)
Watch his interviews...he has the mindset of champion thats what makes him special.
