- The Penn Slammer IV DX Spinning Reel takes the new Penn Slammer IV up a notch, making them the ultimate Penn spin reel available! It has a few key features that boost the strength, smoothness, durability and overall performance even further, along with a very nice change in cosmetics too. Josh from Onstrike Charters in Exmouth Australia tells us why these bad boys are a go-to for offshore fishing. Find them here: fergostackleworld.com.au/prod...

Wonderfully fascinating Reel.
*The Battle II 3000 is a back-up for my Clash 3000. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend There is a noticeable difference in smoothness when retrieving, a little stiffer. But fewer bearings and lower price.*
I love the upgrades but wish they'd stayed with traditional Penn cosmetics. But then I also didn't like the gold trimming or red trim on other models very much either. Just love the classic Penn matte black that says work horse, not show pony.
I wanna know what one your using 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩 the purple is siiiiiick
What is the rod and line you paired with that slammer. The multicolor green?
Good evening
When is the reel gonna be released in Cape Town South Africa
It's now available in Indonesia so seems like you should be able to find it in SA.
Which fishing rod is that
damn you penn if you can keep with the old color just like the 3, it would be more sexier.
Is it still hard to affect the drag,no soft setting?
Penn designed these to be power workhorse reels and not really for live bait or other applications where the spool spins freely with no minimum drag. More suited for tossing lures, Vertical jigging, chunking with rod in hand.
Will a normal or DX suit better for surf fishing with bait?
@@piercel.6845 What intended species and casting range.? Penn (4) reel sizes range from 2500 to 10500. 2500 to 5500 sizes have a automatic bail trip , 6500 to 10500 have a manual bail trip. The penn spinfisher Vi has a live liner, long cast and bail less model which makes it a consideration for targeted surf species.
Just finished watching a review of the slammer 4 and it was mentioned that the minimal drag issue had been worked out to allow bait running on drag. I would assume that applies to the DX as well.
