    Let's not forget the really low budget hotels in the area, like F1 or Etap, for about 30€ a night. At about 10 minutes away.

    The best trick of saving money is being invited by an annual pass holder to buy an annual pass. It works like this: there is a forum on which a lot of annual pass holders are a member. They mention the period they are in the park. You contact the member of the same period they say they are at the park. You make arrangements of meeting (inside the park). You go together to the desk (where you buy the annual passes) and say you all are friends (!). This way you get at least a 10% discount on the annual pass and the people of the forum will get point which they can use for extending their passes. The price of the tickets you needed for the initial entrance will be subtracted of the annual passes (for some reason except the parking ticket). But it saves a lot of money and it's a win-win!

    Hi you have some great tips. I really enjoy watching you both explore the parks. I'm visiting again in February and staying in a golden forest room at Sequoia lodge and can't wait.
    In the past I've stayed at the Cheyene and at the Disneyland hotel, but, I've always liked how the Sequoia looked and after watching one of your other videos I decided to book and try it out.
    Another good tip for booking a stay is to phone the park direct and book, anytime I've done this I nearly always get better prices than through the website or through agents, the last time we saved enough over the five days to upgrade to half board premium meal plan from the the cheaper meal plan we had initially intended on booking and got to do all the character meals, it was fab.
    Thank you both for keeping me in the Disney spirit

    Hey guys! Thank you for this awesome video, it's great to hear advice from other people to be able to save your money for different things that you want to use the money for :)
    In March, my friends and I are going to visit Disneyland Paris! It will be my third time there and I'm super excited for it!
    I wanted to share how we were able to save some money every time we have been there since 2016. We always booked our hotel through the Disneyland Paris website and also stayed at a Disney hotel - The Davy Crockett Ranch. It's the cheapest of the Disney Hotels but still a very decent and nice acommodation either way. You do need to come by car, though, as there is not shuttle bus. But it's only a 15 minute car ride and it's fun to listen to your favorite songs in the morning while you're on your way to Disneyland!
    We always booked our stay once we saw that there was an advertised discount of around 20-25% for stays in a certain timeframe and in a Disney Hotel. The cabins of the Davy Crockett Ranch can house up to 6 people, they come with two bathrooms and a small kitchen where you can easily prepare your meals for the day and don't have to spend extra money in the parks.
    Also included in the booking is half-pension - meaning you get a free amazing breakfast (which you have to get by yourself in the mornings though) and coupons for either lunch or dinner in a restaurant in the park. We found that we barely bought any food in the parks and also brought our own. As the tickets for the parks are included when you're staying at a Disneyland hotel - as is the parking for each day - we only had to pay around 350-80 euros for a 5 day vacation in Disneyland - since we split the whole price through 4 people.
    I would always recommend this method as you can experience the magic of a Disney hotel while also saving money in the process :) you also have the extra magic hours!
    Hope that this will maybe help someone! :)

      @SeeYouInMainstreet  Před 5 lety +1

      Hello Annie, thank you for your detailed comment. Elise also has stayed at the Davy Crockett Ranch once. Actually it was at her very first visit to DLP in 1993! Back then there was a shuttle bus available. We think that your reply certainly will help others plan their DLP vacation!

    Last September we went in an extreme cheapskate mode! We booked a little apartment around Val d´Europe (one station away from the park) via AirBnB. We would always have a big breakfast, make sure to have lots of snacks with us and since the apartment had a kitchen, we were also eating a lot for dinner after the day at the park. As a result, the only thing we ´ate´ at the park was a dole whip, shake at Victoria´s and an ice cream. To be honest I liked it so much more than wasting time waiting in the queues at counter service restaurants.

    When I went (dec27 2017- jan1 2018) I stayed at a hotel right next to Val d Europe shopping mall and it was an aparthotel. It was my parents, husband and daughter. We had a kitchen to prepare breakfast and sandwiches/snacks that we took into the parks. It was cheaper than the Disney hotels. It was great because the train station was across the street so we left our car at the hotel and took the train to Disney. It was 2 euros or less per person per trip and it was a 3 minute ride (only 1 stop). Trains ran frequently. I think per night we paid about 195 euros for a family suite (again, there were 5 of us)

    We booked our stay early, so it was on offer. We got 25% off our room and we got a free half board package with it. We always wanted to go to the Disney Hotel, so we are finally doing it now. This offer made it possible for us to do. I know for sure we don't have to spend a lot of money on food when we are at the park, because our breakfast buffet and dinner will fill us all up. We don't have little kids with us, so everyone buys their own souvenirs.
    If your kids really want something from the shops in dlp, give them a giftcard with a certain amount of money on there, rather than just the money. The giftcard already feels like a present and I know from a few friends that their kids find it easier to accept the amount they can spend when it's with a giftcard. They know their parents have more money in their wallets, so they will push a bit more if they find something that is over their budget.

Best tip: buy a package deal from the disneyland site, and change the country of origin! Sometimes choosing a country where they don't have a vacation period save up to 40%.
    Example: I booked from the German site once and in stead of paying 1250 for 5 days/4 nights with 2 adults and 2 kids, I only paid 750 (Hotel Cheyenne). That is 500 additional pocket money to spend of food and souvenirs.

    Hi Sven and Elise! I'm planning on taking my girlfriend to disney as a suprise.. I'm probably going to New Port Bay Club and maybe getting a Photopass+.. do you guys have any idea on a nice way to make it clear to her that we are going there? Thanks a lot for the amazing videos you make! Thanks to those videos I can't wait to leave! (Also: if you have any tips for students going to DLP, go ahead!)

    • @SeeYouInMainstreet
      @SeeYouInMainstreet  Před 5 lety

      Hi Ruben, what a lovely gesture! There are many ways to surprise your girlfriend with a Disney trip. Have looked on CZcams for inspiration? Type 'best disney reveals' and you'll get some ideas. Remember you don't have to go overboard with the presentation, the fact that you two are going to Disney is the most important. If your buget allows a Photopass+, go for it. Good luck and have a great time in Disneyland Paris!

      Hi Douglas, Indeed, we forgot to mention that entry tickets are included with your hotel stay. Thank you for mentioning this. We are now so accustomed to our Annual passes that we look more towards the room only prices. The gesture of this video is to look beyond the the disney hotels them selfs and also to be vigilante to compare all hotels with there pro's and cons in the form of service and tickets in- or excluded. In other words do your homework to get the most our of your budget. Thanks again for your comment!
