I've never met a single person that doesn't have an ID unless they are doing some illegal stuff, or are here illegally. Yes, qualifications should definitely be a major factor... but personality and how well someone would mesh with the current work environment (like, will they be an ass to others, can they work well with others, etc.) can and should be a factor as well. If you got two individuals with similar qualifications and skill levels, the one who's easier to work with and is more charismatic/friendly is the one that will likely get the job.

i remember when i worked at a retail store and one of our cashiers was an elderly woman would tell people "have a blessed day" and someone put in a formal complaint against her for religious discrimination. she said this to literally every single customer and was a freaking beam of joy every single day... this was back in 2014.. i thought people were wild for getting mad about that.. yet here we are in 2024 and society has gone absolutely mad for the things they choose to get angry about.

In addition to that, the fact that so many men were capable of convincing you to sleep with them proves that the necessary actions to do so are easily reached and that you are willing to follow through on that with no consideration to the future consequences. Which obviously does not bode well for the trust and commitment required to make a relationship last.
