Aren’t the loopholes for tie downs for car sex? I might be wrong on this.
😨
nope you are 100% right. Tiedowns for car sex. So glad they included these. Super useful. why is this comment not pinned?
This is a family channel
😅😅
I wish they had bolt body style but volt plugin hybrid drive train. 30 - 60 mile all electric range - top speed 57. 90hp gas engine and top speed 110.
The orange connector beneath the rear seat is called the MSD, Manual Service Disconnect. It is used during servicing the vehicle's High Voltage Battery. To assure service team safety.
It also allows emergency responders to disable the high voltage system.
Is there anyway I could hook that to my passenger seats for when my kids need a tune up?
They pretty much use it for all servicing, not just the battery. The 12v battery has to be disconnected as well.
My favorite feature that I just discovered is when you have the car in "D", (not the "L" single pedal mode), you can hit the regen button once really quickly on the back of the steering wheel after you stop at a light and it will hold the car in place until you hit the accelerator pedal again. No need to keep you foot on the brake, hold the button etc.
Will have to try it out!
I typically just hold the regen button rather than using the brake pedal so when I get to the stop, I can just release it.
Once you come to a stop using the regen hand paddle, it will hold its position and you don't have to hold the paddle anymore
You can just press firmly on the brake pedal, and it will do the same thing.
This may be a Bolt thing or just a Chevy thing. Driving my Bolt home for the first time the tire pressure sensor thing went off, all four tires were under inflated the same amount at the same time. In the morning the pressure was the same, so I put air in them. The feature is that when you are putting air in the tires, the turn signal will flash to let you know it's not done when you stop (this might even be a PSI blink code, IDK), and will beep the horn when the proper PSI is reached. I had to do all four tires, and when all the tires are at proper PSI the car gives a quick beep-beep-beep to let you know everything is proper.
That’s awesome! I didn’t know that
This is pretty common on most vehicles now. It'll do the multiple beep when it reaches the psi designated on your door sticker.
I sell Buicks and GMCs and have a '22 Bolt EUV. If you look at your window sticker, if your vehicle has "Tire Fill Alert" it will do this. A lot of the ICE vehicles from GM have this as well.
Your tires require frequent topping off, as rubber is somewhat porous and the air inside expands and contracts with changing weather conditions. That is why they were all at a consistently lower PSI.
My wife was complaining about "not enough storage space" in the 2023 EUV for her grocery shopping vs our minivan. I've told her about the false floor and offered to take it out before she goes shopping. I'm glad to know I can just drop it to the bottom instead! Also the suggestion of sliding that thing into a plastic bag to provide a waterproof/dirtproof layer is awesome! The little hidden storage compartments at the side under the rear seats are cool and could be useful. I haven't used Auto Wipe in Reverse or Auto High Beams yet. Remote Window operation might be helpful every once in a while. Holding the home button to get back to Android Auto or Apple CarPlay will be GREAT!
BTW, I've found the voice command button on the steering wheel to be almost entirely useless. I've tried asking it to navigate place or tell me the weather or call somebody and it never seems to understand me. I speak clearly and slowly without an accent. I end up doing everything through Android Auto and hitting the microphone icon on the infotainment system for that. Is anybody else frustrated with how useless the native voice command button is? I know that there are very few available built-in "apps" for the infotainment system and that if they need Internet access you'll have to either pay OnStar for that or use your phone as a hotspot and connect the car to that. I figure mostly people will use wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay for everything and just ignore the built-in Infotainment system and apps other than controlling things about how the car works. However, I saw somewhere that if you use "Google" from the Infotainment system to navigate to a DC quick charger then the Bolt should start "conditioning" the battery for DC quick charging about 30 minutes before you arrive. I haven't been able to find "Google" or "Google Maps" in the infotainment system or any indication that battery "conditioning" would happen en-route to a DC quick charger.
My charging strategy based on everything I've read is to stay between 30-80% and mostly between 50-80% and only to charge when needed, not every night. I read that L2 is just as "gentle" on the battery as L1 and that you should only use L3 DC quick charging when on road trips and needing a lot of range in a quick stop. Only charge to 95% or 100% right before you leave for a road trip as it's rough on the battery and shouldn't be used on a regular basis (but fine for road trips when you want maximum range) and also you don't get regen braking unless you're below some percentage (some say 95%, some say 80%, I'm not sure on that). I'm thinking that "daily to 80" charging at home might be okay in cold winters when you want to "precondition" the cabin by turning on the heaters while the vehicle is still plugged in. I haven't tried turning on the car to "precondition" the cabin yet but my understanding is that you have to set the climate controls (temp and fan) before you turn the vehicle off so they'll resume that way when you turn it on remotely.
1. You're right when you say the native voice is pretty useless. There is a limited set of commands you can use. I suspect a full-on, get everything subscription to on-star will expand the command list.
2. I don't think you'll find a "Google Maps" app for the infotainment system. Chevy probably wants you to use their OnStar Navigator, which means that you'll have to subscribe to the WiFi capability. I just use my AndroidAuto.
3. You're right, again, when you say to keep your battery between 30 - 80 percent to preserve the battery life. However, Chevy has the best battery conditioning on the market. I recharge about every two weeks, typically to 95%, and will run the battery down to the last quarter of a charge. Keep in mind that your battery will wear out after so many thousands of cycles, no matter what. I wouldn't sweat it and just enjoy the car.
4. I use remote start (a.k.a. remote climate controls) on my car all the time. As a Floridian, I don't like to get into a hot car, and I especially don't want to have a hot car for my puppy after visiting the dog park. The Bolt remote start only runs the car for 20 minutes and then shuts off. So, regardless if you're plugged in or on battery, you should enjoy the cooled/warmed car before you get in. BTW: if you want to save even more energy, don't heat your car in the winter. Use the heated steering and seats instead. They use less energy.
Lastly, I do have one major complaint with my infotainment controls. I wish I could see precisely how much energy I'm using and for what. When I had my version 1 Nissan LEAF, that was a big help in extending the range of my car. At an advertised 85 miles (really only about 60 miles), I could barely complete my commute. However, I discovered if I kept my speed down to 55 mph and held off on turning on the A/C for the first 15 minutes I had enough battery to make the commute and an extra shopping stop on the way home. I wish I had that ability on the Bolt.
If you’re running Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, press and hold the voice command button on the steering wheel. This will bring up Siri/Google Assistant. Pressing once brings up Chevy voice command.
I use Waze In Android Auto. Much Better in my opinion. @@BasicMike
The "Intellisense" headlight feature you mention is FANTASTIC on rural roads at night. The sensitivity is such that you never blind anyone coming toward you, or anyone in front of you moving in the same direction you are. If you are using the car exclusively in an urban area, you will never need the feature, but on a those two-lane lightly traveled roads out in the sticks it a must have...who needs a deer coming through the windshield?
its great...but... it does not turn off the high beams until it sees headlights coming towards you
a good driver will see the headlights of an approaching car lighting up the trees and in the misty air before the car comes into view around a curve or over a blind hill, and drop their high beams before the two drivers can actually see each others headlights
its a nice feature, but its not quite "there" yet
Under the backseat is your emergency power shut off, FYI
Really delayed, but to add for future reference, don't unplug the manual service disconnect without unplugging your 12v battery first (and following the other steps), otherwise your bolt will think it's in an accident and lock itself out and will have to be towed to the dealer.
The loops are for seatbelt adjusters. When a passenger is too short for the seatbelt to sit properly, this is where you’d attach them to lower the seatbelt height!!
if you run out of battery power, just use the tow hook to have your car towed a couple miles with the regen button applied and you should be able to get another 6-10 miles of range.
For real? You're absolutely sure about that? Thanks
@@raduser No, never do this - it is not designed for that and could damage your car
I wanted the 2022. However they were blowing out the 2021 premiums last March for $29k. Plus a Calif $2k rebate. So my cheap self went with the 2021. Very happy with it. Insurance is far less than a Tesla. No one will ever want to key the paint on a Bolt. Chevy is handling the battery recall very nicely.
Thank you for sharing this information. The information regarding the extra storage space in the back was amazing. I try to keep items to a minimum, but sometimes you need a little more space and this allows for that without too much effort. Also, this is my first electric vehicle (2022 EUV Bolt), and I am completely satisfied with it and all the features both known and discovered through your presentations.
Thanks for the tips! I like that they finally figured out how to properly store (or in this case, reuse) the floor in the trunk. Nobody around here has any 22/23 Bolts available, of course, but we got lucky today - got a call from the dealership about new inventory, and made a deposit on a 2023 Bolt EV 2LT. :) Now we just have to wait half a year for delivery...
The window down feature is probably intended to equalize the car temperature with the outside temperature before you get in. The inside of a car is almost always hotter than the outside temperature due to the greenhouse effect your car has. On hot days, if you equalize the temperature first, your A/C doesn't have to work as hard, and it is also faster.
my 2019 fusion hybird has down and up feature on windows using key fob!
Yes probably great during summer
@@wlwal1 yes my fusion hybrid went up too
Thx, will use windows down on our '19 Bolt.
We have the windows up, close sunroof, a super handy feature on our VW Golf,, likely GM lawyers prevented Chevy from offering it :(
@@wlwal1 -Maybe so, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s still just a Ford Fusion Hybrid 😂
Thanks for the tips! Just bought a 2023 Bolt EUV today. Can't wait to pick it up tonight.
Definitely useful video that applies to all 2022 Bolts with the new software only. My 2020 Bolt LT activates the rear wiper in reverse by default. pretty cool
I really appreciate the video. We have only had our 23 for a few days and we didn't know any of this. Thank you so much for making it!
I’m glad I could help, Thanks for watching!
I just picked up a brand new Bolt EUV a few days ago. Your video was really helpful! Thanks for the tips!
Congrats, Michael! Thanks for watching 👏🏼
2 things on my EUV wishlist. I have had many GM vehicles of the last 15 years, and I wish they put the outside air temp on the drivers info centre (I even suggested this to a regional rep at a major car show). Putting it on the infotainment screen it gets hidden when you use Android or Apple. In Canada we need to see when the roads are starting to ice up (in July 😒). As well, wish the FOB or phone APP at least allowed closing the sun roof. Nothing worse than waking up thunder at 4am then starting to think "did I close the sunroof" when at a hotel.
that's right. when i use android auto navigation, the radio screen doesn't show outside temp. outside temp info is helpful especially for ev, because driver can adjust climate setting to save electricity for a bit longer range.
Good point! I use the outside temp gauge on mountain road trips in the winter. When gaining and loosing a lot of elevation and various mountainous micro climates the temps can fluctuate 10-15 degrees above/below freezing. I like to keep my eye on the temp in those situations as an extra data point especially when the roads are wet / potentially icy and I'm causing along at speed.
Do NOT play with the orange disconnect under the seat, it will disable the car if used out of sequence. (It's the last step in disconecting the power.) Leave it alone unless you know what you are doing...
Great video to show those hidden items. We have a 2011 volt and looking to upgrade after battery issues are figured out.
Thanks for watching, Jeff!
Love my 22 bolt, best car I have ever owned. The coolest oddest feature is the headlight blackout. Driving down the road there is a shadow that is casted into the oncoming lane to the left so you are not blinding other drivers. So cool the way that works
Thank you! Watched your video before I went into the dealership. The sales guy was impressed with my knowledge of the car! Lol gotta love CZcams!
😁 that’s awesome! Thanks for watching!!
Thanks allot for the video on features of the Bolt. I do not own a Bolt at this time, but learning allot from all the videos on You Tube. Also reading the comments below.
Take care.
Thank you for the info. Helped out a lot 👍
My 2014 Fiat 500e had the rear window wiper feature on by default so it was nice to see it in the 2020 Bolt EV i just bought as well.
The rear wiper feature is default in my 2017 Bolt. I don't think that it can be disabled.
The orange thing under the back seat is the high-voltage battery disconnect and fuse.
Good thing you didn't mess with it because pulling it is a quick way to disable your Bolt.
My 17 you have to turn it on under vehicle
Great video
Thank you. I just got my Bolt last week. You are a big help.
Thanks, John! Glad you found it helpful!
Thanks for the great video. For your satisfaction I did not know a single one of them but then I own a 2012 Prius. Strongly considering the bolt EUV
Thanks for watching, Robert!
I went from a 17 Volt to a 23 EUV. I tried rolling down the windows with the fob and was confused why nothing happened. It was also a non default feature on the Volt so when you mentioned it i had an "ah ha" moment. Thanks for the great video!
Thank you for your videos. I am watching a number of them to get familiar with my new car that is at the dealership waiting for the replacement battery. I guess I could find a manual somewhere online, but I don't have one yet to read!! And seeing where things are is so much better than just reading about it.
Thanks so much, Rachel! I have a bunch of Bolt videos so hopefully you know everything there is to know before you get yours!
The manual can be found online from GM. Unfortunately it says absolutely nothing about sport mode (aparently tighter steering feel and brisker acceleration)
Love sport mode 🔥
Thank you, I learned something about my Bolt today!
Glad I could help, Larry!
Two years after you made the video, thanks for this. I've had my '23 euv Lt for almost a year (and love it except for the lack of heat pump), and I've seen the rear wiper feature, but didn't know that worked only when the front wipers were on; living in the Canadian pacific northwest, I'm going out to turn that on right now.
Great video! Just got my ‘22 Bolt EUV Premier Launch Edition yesterday. Love it.
Very nice! How is Super Cruise?
@@MetzTech super cruise is great when I can use it. I live very rural so there is only 2 nearby highways it is available for.
Ah that makes sense
Great video, thanks. I got one assigned for my work vehicle recently 👍🏻
Nice!!
Thanks for the great videos
How do you set up a 2023 chevy bolt euv to off peak charging only?
That rear cargo cover you removed, I used mine for a rear window shade. I stuck a grocery store card in the trim and that's how it's locked in place
Very crafty, nice!
Genius! TY!
Thanks for the infos!
Got my Bolt EUV in July and loving it 😍
Thanks for watching, Cheryll!
Thank you and liked your video. It saves me a lot of time vs looking in the manual. I have a question on your plasti dipped wheels. Did you remove the wheels or you just painted it without removing?
They aren't plasti dipped. They were professionally powder coated. They removed the wheels to coat them
Super helpful. The window thingie is cool.
In my 2019 Bolt Premier , I have discovered that instead of waiting 5 seconds for my screen to boot up so I can turn on the A/C, I can just adjust the temperature down and the A/C will start up right away.
The auto window down feature was the one thing I hated the most on my 2012 Volt. It never failed to auto down the windows at the worst time, usually during a thunderstorm while I was taking a nap on the couch with my keys in my pocket. I have found the windows down and the inside of the Volt wet at least a half dozen times. There is no way to disable this "Feature" without having the dealership reprogram the Volt.
I was very happy to find it was NOT included on my new Bolt.
I guess somewhat similar to this, I quickly realized that when I start my car, I don't have to wait for screens to come up to start driving. I can just go into Drive right away, and it goes before the screens even boot up.
always put your car keys on a hook by the front door
and you will never have to play find the keys for the rest of your life
and always put your glasses on top of the fridge, everywhere you go
The under seat storage could be handy for an extra flashlight or a bottle of emergency water. Might be big enough for a small jump starter in case the accessory battery goes flat. Nice friendly video. Thanks for making it. Have a good day.
Here’s one you didn’t cover: there is a radio volume control on the *underside* of the right hand side of the steering wheel. Took me a couple of weeks before I noticed that.
Yes! A good one.
As well the "skip" feature is behind the left side.
Great video. I purchased a '22 Bolt EUV yesterday!!! I also have a '20 and was impressed with the hidden features. Side not, your video on having the level 2 charger installed, with an assist from GM, laid out the process so I knew exactly what to expect and the best way to proceed, which even the dealership higher ups were a bit confused about
Thanks so much! Glad I could help
Thanks for this! Very helpful. Does anyone know how to access the trip odometer on a 2022-2023 Bolt? I tried to find the menu that would allow it to be displayed and came up empty.
Great review! As of 1/11, GM has raised the price by $600 on the EV and EUV. Cant quite swing the 2022, so going with previous gen 2021 with 10K on clock and brand new battery for 27k. That's a good deal in SF Bay area!
MKBHD fan, uses Overcast, AND a Ravens fan? Dude, you got a new sub just for that 🤣 Oh and the video was great, looking into getting a Bolt EUV myself so all your content on it has been so useful!
😆 yessir!
Thanks so much, Chris! Glad I could help
I think that orange thingy is a safety disconnect for your lithium ion battery system. In an accident, they can pull that thing and disable all high voltage throughout the car.
#3 and #4 are lifesavers! Thanks!
Thanks for watching, Mark!
Reboot the infotainment screen by holding the forward and home button at the same time for 10 seconds, handy for recovering from screen crashes/freezes. It works on older models but haven’t tried it yet on my 2022 Bolt EV
Newer models don't have a Forward model. I had to reboot my 2023 EUV - it is done by fully powering up the car (if not already in that state), turn off the car, and then open the door for 2 minutes. When you close the door and start the car, it goes through the actual boot-up sequence which takes about 40 to 60 seconds before everything is fully online.
Nice video, good info! Disappointed that the chosen cupholder wasn't featured! 🤣👍⚡
😆 that thing just makes me mad
Thanks for watching, Christopher!
@@MetzTech It is odd that just one cup holder is highlighted. My wife's favorite car, her Honda Element, has a similar arrangement. Driver gets the coveted holder. Rock on brother!! ⚡⚡⚡
Great!! Now thousands of people are going to know to look under the back seats for wallets and phones. You dry switched the hell out of all of us bro! 🤣🤣🤣
Loved the video, learned tons, my number 1 feature was your hair, it's amazing
Haha thank you!
Nice video man. Good stuff to know. Thank you.
Thanks for watching, Jeffrey! 🙏🏻
Thanks, I have a 2022 and love it.
I just bought a 2023 bolt ltv2 premier and I did not know
Any ofvthese tips thank you so much.
Glad I could help, Donald!
Nice videos! Quick question on a 2022 EUV, with an issue that appears to be shared: Our vehicle's microphone for voice commands stopped working when we cancelled our OnStar trial. The button on the steering wheel works, as the little "nebula" appears on the display and always appears to be "listening," but the microphone is clearly not registering our voice at all. Is anyone aware of a way to reset the microphone?
Great information, thanks 😊
I personally love the automatic wiper damage feature.
the updated design and interior update on newer models really makes this a solid value)
Yes the high-voltage disconnect that is underneath the rear seat this disconnects the battery so we cannot have power to the vehicle this is mostly use for maintenance purposes our battery replacement.
Nice video! Not being sparky, but that bright orange switch is how you kill battery from the battery in an accident....it's in the owner's manual ;-)
My 2013 Chevy Volt (I assume other older cars as well) can lower all windows with the key fob. Didn't know about that at first, and it was weird when I would go to the garage and found out that all the windows were down -- guess the button in my key fob was depressed while in my pockets somehow.
Ordered a 2023. Can’t wait. Really love the rear seat storage. Neat
Awesome! Thanks for watching
How were you able to order the 2023? I've been to three dealers and they said the 2023 orders weren't open yet, maybe September or October.
Funny thing, I managed to make our vw atlas windows roll up when I hold on the lock button on the door. When I did research about it, it said I have to connect a sensor to the vehicle to add modifications to it to allow it to roll down and work from the remote. I think that might mean all cars are different then lol.
TLDR: You can roll the windows up only by pressing the lock button on the door for the vw atlas but it never goes down lol
Would you consider removing the foam from the underfloor? Some people online take it out and put deflated spares in its space.
Great vid as always. I have a 2016 GMC and I can lower the windows from thw fob, I have not been able to raise the windows from the fob.
Thanks for watching, Donald!
I think that the Germans are the only ones that you can raise back up since the 90’s but I could be wrong about being the only ones, normally if a BMW Audi or VW doesn’t open or raise the window with the fob or actual key you can program it to do it.
Nice video. Side note, I wish they would’ve left the left regen hand brake where it was on the old models, not sure I’ll like the new position up higher.
Big orange thing under rear seat is the high voltage battery disconnect. Multiple uses if car is in crash, mechanical service needed, battrery servioce, etc.
Thanks, looking for kids of theses cool 2022 bolt euv videos, we just got ours!
Great vid! Just trying to strike a deal now on either a '22 EV or EUV. Nice to see some of the cool hidden stuff.
Thanks, Brett!
I tried to make a better deal, but the dealer would not budge. I barely found one within driving distance, so I took what I considered an amazing deal with $5900 off the EV and $6300 off the EUV. I did not want to spend $60K on an EV, so I jumped on the Bolt EV 2LT at HALF THE PRICE of the Tesla. Totally happy with that. GM installs the 240v outlet in your garage for FREE on top of that deal. You can't beat that deal.
Simple thing but the cruise control is always on so I just hit set and I’m done, every other car you need to turn it on then set which is crazy!
Thank You! I hope to get an all electric car soon!
In my Honda to get the windows back up I had to put the key into the drivers door and turn then turn and hold it to the lock position. Couldn’t do it from the fob like I could for windows down.
Ha - I thought I had auto high beams in my 2022 Bolt EV, and they worked when I first got it. Somehow I turned that feature off and thought that I had dreamed that. Thanks for showing me how to turn on again.
also, I thought it had rain-sensing wipers, but I cannot find a way to make that work. It might only be for the EUV Premier model, but if you know a way to make that work on the EV 2LT, let me know.
You did not mention the option for 120v charging where the default is 8 amps, but you can change that to 12 amps for faster charging.
I am surprised that the remote will not raise the driver window since it is 1-button down and up, even though the other windows are 1-button down only.
Thoughts on Sport-Mode? Some people say it does not affect range. I would think it would, but some say they get better range.
Good video - Subbed and liked.
I have a 2021 Bolt and want a newer one. Bummer they are too expensive, so I have to wait. But, wanted to say, you have lovely hair. Keep up the great work. 😊
I would keep an eye out on used 2022 models. They are very affordable these days with all the discounts and tax incentives!
Thanks for the kind words, Lisa!
I have seen little loops like that that have clips so you can adjust where the seat belt crosses your shoulder and chest, especially important for kids and youth.
I just got the 2023 ev 1LT. I’m looking forward to driving around the city with it
The orange plug under the backseat is the disconnect for the high voltage battery
Great video and well done. I will be back for more cool tips..
Thanks for watching, Steven!
I can confirm that the hidden storage is also present in the Bolt EV
Excellent video thank you
Thanks for watching, Matt!
I really want to buy this car! Started shopping one day after the recall!
Great time to buy one used. New battery new 8 year 100k warranty.
Great prices. These cars drive the same no matter the miles. Ultra dependable and fun to drive. And ultra safe. And fast. Lol.
That’s exactly what I did back in September of 2021. Got a great deal on a 2017 model, plus a brand new battery in January. Life is good!
In regards to that little black tab is located at the side of the seat. I have a feeling they have something to do with the airbags…Because that’s right where the airbags deploy.
They probably just identify where the airbags are located, so you don’t cover them with a car seat cover that doesn’t have an opening for the airbag.
Good point, maybe so
no oil.. no gas,, ever no leaks,,,, no issues, my brother has a 2018, with 66k miles, never been to a dealer,,,,,,,, i bought a used bolt 2017,, with 23k miles an a new battery.... for 16k... im loving it

The "auto window down" from keyfob would be much, much, much, much more useful if it was like the similar function on Hondas where the windows all go down BUT STOP WHEN YOU LET GO OF THE BUTTON!!!!! So if all you want is to leave all 4 windows open 2" you can do that. Also, Honda lets you roll up all 4 automatically by putting the actual key in the door and holding it in the lock position while they go back up.
Mercedes had the key function in the 1990s
Nice tips, thanks.
Thanks for watching, Miguel!
Thank you for the Chime information, I didn't know that and it's so loud and annoying!
Unfortunately you can't turn it down much. Darn.
Did you ever figure out how to turn down the “welcome to your car” explosion?
I just want to get into my car. I don’t need it to try to impress me. It’s unbelievably annoying.
That "auto wiper in reverse" thing is waaaay smarter than I gave GM credit for.
if you use rear camera to back up, then that figure is not that important...
@@yili9725 Backup cameras get covered in yuck all the time. Especially in snow. If they dont have a rear window wiper, they should have a rear camera wiper.
@@natehill8069 I mean you don't use that "auto wiper in reverse" feature a lot. because that feature is for 1 back up; 2 in rain. normally you can use camera. in case of camera is blocked for whatever reason, you can still manually turn on rear wiper.
@@yili9725 Oh, I see what you meant.
Nice video thanks, how about a dashmat, is there one?
Another question on my 2023 EUV premier, is there a volume/sound to the safety warning for a car coming too close to either side? (Whether or not I have my blinker on) and for the front distance between cars? Or if the only warning the flashing on my dash for front distance or side mirrors for side lane distance? There is a red flashing triangle and beeping sound when a pedestrian is walking too close.
I think you mentioned the room for a spare tire. You can fit a donut spare in my 19 but you do need to let most of the air out! So carry a compressor that works on your 12 volt plug
I was saying that is typically where a spare would go, but you would definitely
have to deflate a small one a good bit for it to fit in there!
Thanks for watching, Eddy!
I bought a 16" wheel w/larger tire at Discount Tire MI, fits axle & fits flush.
2022 EUV comes with its own 12v compressor and tire sealent package. (same as my 07 Solstice). blowouts will require a tow.
@@donwhitton7791 I just bought a 2022 and I did not get a 12v compressor and tire sealant package :(

As of storage, during a recent camping trip, I removed the foam in the bottom of the trunk to store sleeping bags. It fees up a lot of space. I made sure to put a blanket first to prevent screws protruding from puncturing the fabric of my sleeping bags.
Big enough to actually store a spare tire there?
@@jt44444 most probably yes. The space is round just like if it was meant to be made for that purpose.
@@jt44444 Some people have put a spare tire in there, I think it's a "doughnut" spare (temporary spare) from a Chevy Cruz or something like that. If you have a subwoofer or Super Cruise, they use up part of that space so it probably won't work.
At 8:30 is the high voltage battery service (emergency) disconnect.
Is the door chime volume on your 2022 able to be adjusted down? For nearly all Bolt EVs, that is the one major annoying thing to me: the chime whenever the driver's door is open when the vehicle is parked but still on. So if you're at a charger and want to keep the infotainment system on while you are plugging/unplugging the car, the piercing chime keeps sounding whenever the door is open.
You can adjust it, but not a ton. The lowest you can turn it down is like 50-60%
The super-secret compartment under the rear seat was my favorite.
I took a contractor garbage bag and slid the fold flat panel in trunk in it. Its awesome - dont have to worry about carpet. On off easy
Smart!!
Just got mine today! Thanks for the tips! Does it have auto lock?
2023 EV here and that has auto lock. Very convenient.
Hey man, your videos are extremely helpful. We just put an order in for an EUV Premiere with an expected ship date of mid October. We still have a small window the modify our configuration and I am going back and forth on the sun and sound package. The sunroof looks nice and big but is there any big improvement with the Bose Sound System compared to the default system? I am leaning towards skipping the package as long as the original sound system is not trash but if the default sound is bad to begin with, then it might be worth the upgrade.
Thanks for the videos dude!
Thanks so much for the kind wordsI’m no audiophile but the default sound system is nothing special. You can tell the difference with the Bose system. So if you are a heavy user of the in car audio it may be worth it.
Thanks again for watching!
What dealership did you place your order for the Bolt premiere? I can't find anyone in the Seattle area willing to take an order from me. They claim I have to wait until the premiere is in production before I can place an order.
@@geopro0780 We could help you at Celebration Chevrolet in Aurora, CO. We can custom order you a 2023 Bolt EV OR EUV and ship it when it arrives after we contract it out. Let me know if you need any help! We are also not charging more than MSRP right now.
Got the Premiere with sun and sound, definately worth it. sounds as good as my 2017 Sierra with the same 7 speaker system. The Bose sub is added which fills out the cabin.
Just bought an EUV Premier today... we watched them unload it off the transport truck. Definitely get the Bose & panoramic moon roof! Now I need to work with the dealership to get the level 2 charger installed in the garage.
ohh I didn’t know that can’t wait to play my bolt lol
Apparently there is a little Chevy logo that lights up on the side of the rear top taillights when the headlights are on.
