the answer to how u fix the sprue mark or gate mark as its called, file it down with a clean single cut file (just so its easier n more efficient to reclaim ur gold) then clean the file with the razor blade, unless u have something pointy that works better but i have best luck with a razor, i dont do gold tho that should b alot easier n do all this overtop of a clean surface so u can dab the gold up with ur finger afterward i use a kind of dull razor blade to clean out the cutting edges out it gets down in the tight grooves
6:25 When i worked as an injection mold operator (sorry if there is a better term in english for this) we made really shitty, cheapplastic pieces, and we had that problem all of the time. When i got to work each morning i would heat up the mold with a blowtorch to an internal temp of around 100 degrees celsius and use it like that. The mold was only around 50 degrees on the outside, so if you handled it quickly you would not get burned (the molds were around 0.5 - 1kg). The setup was so archaic that you could not use gloves or any other tools to handle the molds in a safer way. Fun times.

The difference between an over priced Chinese keyboard and a solid gold XBox controller is that the gold won't lose it's value. They could potentially recoup 100% of their cost if gold values rise and they simply resell the gold, or they could auction off the controller and make a profit on it.

And presumably Spot wouldn’t depreciate to $0 in a few months, but yes all and all it would be likely be more expensive than the gold idea. Though the difference is probably not as big as many think.

Regarding your sponsor Volta: ive bought 2 of their XL cables years back when you gyus had them on air the first time a few times. you've got a lot of trust build up about your sponsors and that was my last nudge that made me pull the trigger on them back then.
well, their "livetime warranty" is a hoax pretty much. they discontinued their old XL cables in favor of new, better ones, which is fine, but I cant even get a new tip even if i wanted to pay for that because they just don't have any more left. so one of my cables is pretty much useless because i cant charge my laptop anymore because i got no working tip for it. their warranty is not as long as you live, but as long as the product lives, which was round about 2 years for me. that's basic wartrenty that's required here in Germany and i could have bought a cable for 1/3 the price and that would be still working now.
i know from your WAN show that you take feedback rather seriously so here are my 2 cents on that sponsor. i don't like them because they pretty much scam you with a warranty that is non existent in the real world.
You have to read the fine print. I get that it is annoying though. I wouldn't go as far as to call it a scam, scummy business practice might be a better term. I had a quick look, it is clearly stated on their website that it only applies to products currently for sale on their website, not even in fine print.

Damn, I was looking at changing out my Netdot ones with Volta.
Netdot lie about their product claiming 9v/2A fast charging, but the cable/tips will only do 1A with micro-b and 500mA with usb-c (no clue what lightning is limited to) I bought three triple packs, not one of the combos will perform better. The work well for low power devices (eg. controllers) but are crap for everything else.
