Years later, I still watch this regularly. This is the BEST audition for any talent show, EVER. This is what you truly call SINGING FROM THE HEART. Phenomenal. ❤

This, without doubt, is the best vocal performance I have seen in my lifetime from a male popular music artist. Supreme, flawless quality in his delivery - combined with honesty and sincerity in every single second of his performance. For me, the tragic thing is that there's really no market space for a singing genius like this and one could argue that this performance on The Voice UK will likely be his career zenith. Therefore, I think that it's a good job that Kevin Simm appears to be such a down-to-earth and humble person, or his ego could consume him with the "hard luck" that I, unfortunately, think will follow him.
You got that absolutely right, batwings80. Very well put! This performance was an act of complete self-actualisation. Even after dozens of listens his singing always makes me cry and sob between 1.05 and 1.25 because it's is a human being "in the zone" outside of our usual existence: the purest form of expression matched only by some flamenco singers in golden moments.
Yeah I’ll agree it was a flawless vocal but listen to Theo v Jordan battle round. Theo’s falsetto is stunning. Absolute perfection!
He's now singing lead with Wet Wet Wet as Marti Pellow has gone back to doing solo material and stage musical work.

He's so amazing. It just sounded like it was his moment. It sounded like he waited his entire life for that moment and he finally got it. I just hear the passion and the raw pure talent. God, I hope he wins. He sounds like he deserves it so must

This version from Kevin is the best and the talent that man has is unbelievable, I come back to listen to this every time as so inspirational on many levels.
I've always known that Kevin had a great voice since his glorious days in Liberty X but damn, I didn't know he could sing like that, he's got a phenomenal voice.
I have no idea why that made me cry but it was painfully beautiful

Honestly this guys voice is insane the best cover male cover of Chandelier you’ll hear. Gives me major goosebumps everytime I hear this and I remember watching it live as well was amazing then and is still amazing now

Every time I watch this I always feel like the drummer in the band is like "finally a good singer/arrangement" and he goes extra hard lol when the drums kick in it takes the performance to another level

I love his smile at the end and his wife's joy too. But I have to say that I really loved the acknowledgement to the band at the end. It reminded me of Stevie McCrories interaction with the band in the blinds and battles.

I'm finding it hard to articulate what i want to say but... If only you could bottle that "feeling" you get when singing a song that means that much to you. He had SO much passion in that vocal. I'm a singer and i have felt the passion he's just displayed while singing that song. It's so hard to explain what i'm trying what to say, which is why I sing. But that was Phenomenal. WOW!
