Tík i̱ Hashi 2023 CTLPodcast

This month, Tík i̱ Hashi - Women’s Month, the Choctaw Tribal Language Program presents words and sentences related to the Choctaw Women’s month and we name monthly holidays in Choctaw. We also discuss the start of the 2023 Stickball Season and learn some history of the Mississippi Choctaw women’s stickball division. Finally, we invite local community members to participate in our Choctaw language interview sessions, either as an interviewee or to see how we translate and transcribe our interviews.
This is a monthly video podcast with Choctaw language audio/visual content and discussions in conversational Choctaw.
Our goal is to increase community wide access to Mississippi Choctaw language learning materials and recorded conversations.
