1955 West Bend/Elgin 12hp. No compression top cylinder.Good News 👏 👌 😁

I bought this motor for parts as I thought it was blown because the top cylinder had Zero compression, but tonight I removed the head and found out that it was just a head gasket!! So onward and upward we go!! #chrysler chrysler #vintage #boatmotor #elgin

your timing couldn't be better, I'm going through an 1960 Elgin 10hp in the shop. Its complete, just missing the carburetor silencer box. They are neat little motors. Thanks for posting
