Geecrack I bought the Bombay blade baits you all offer. Could you do a video on those lures please? I love the idea of the dual blade instead of a triple treble hook, but the weight of the lure is difficult for me to determine how to fish effectively

Since it hasn’t been answered already, I only use a trailer hook when they’re slapping or missing it or just for added insurance so I hook em good. Most times though with a Spinnerbug and it’s the right one and you’re fishing it correctly you won’t need the trailer hook. They straight chomp it!

@@michaelshoffner6584 rt on. I don’t disagree, I almost always have one in tournaments. Depends on how they’re eating it. If im getn them in roof of mouth to where hook point almost coming out between there eyes, no trailer hook needed. Bout as pinned as they can get.

Never see anyone throwing a trailer hook on a chatterbait. For me, I only use a trailer hook if I feel like I am getting short strikes on my spinnerbait. Also, I almost never use a trailer hook around wood cover like lay downs. You will get hung up on lay downs way too much with a trailer hook.
