  • A bicycle tour of the PATH Foundation's East Decatur Greenway Trail. This is a paved, 1.2 miles bicycle and pedestrian trail situated at the south-east boundary of the City of Decatur, in Metro Atlanta. It connects the Avondale MARTA station and Stone Mountain Trail with various neighborhoods to the south along Katie Kerr Drive and Columbia Drive in Decatur. The trip includes a wonderful view of the eastern edge of the City of Decatur's Legacy Park, heavily forested with a large pond that is home to a variety of species. At the south, it ends in the green passive park at 890 Columbia Drive.

This is a very nice video and seems to be a very nice path. I like that the path, aside from some intersections is a separated bike path, not a gutter. A car would have a tough time getting up on the path. Unfortunately, it just seems to run along some parks and residential neighborhoods. Yes, I like to ride my bike through pleasant, scenic places, but that is the least of my concerns. I want to be able to ride my bike to work, to school, to the grocery store, etc. Obviously, Atlanta has a long way to go for bike paths.
