This song always transports me back to the glorious 80s 😍
PSB are big fans of Dusty but the record label wanted Tina Turner for this song. But they stood their ground. At first Dusty didn't want to do it, she was really in a bad state at that time, after a few album flops. Whilst recording, she asked them how she should sound like, they answered "Like Dusty".

YESSS thank you dear Psyche, Dusty Springfield is another of my favourite artists. I still can’t believe she isn’t with us anymore. I remember seeing interviews from the time and Dusty was unsure about recording after a few not so good albums and singles, when she finally agreed she asked them “what do you want me to sound like, and the PSB answered “like Dusty Springfield” 🤣🤣 also the PSB said it was a nightmare recording with Dusty as she recorded in such a strange way that it took hours to lay her vocals. Was worth the time for me haha. I LOVE Dusty’s ad-lib at the end, “we don’t have to fall apart we don’t have to fight, we don’t need to go to hell an back every night”. Dusty was such a talent. Thanks to the PSB for bringing Dusty back to life and updating her sound. The album they done for her “Reputation” is AMAZING. God bless Dusty, and thanks for this fabulous selection , love always Peter xxxx
