The first electronic melodeon

So this “thing” went viral on Facebook a couple of weeks ago. It was a 15 second video and it was viewed 300 000 times and shared by several thousands of people all over the world.
(I would never have guessed that would happen!?)
Background story:
Me and a friend made this as our examination project in 2005, we where 18 years old at the time and it was before Arduino even existed.
It’s a g/c melodeon. Driven by a 9v battery, playing with a sinus-tone generator and also features a midi-port with two channels, one for bass and one for melody.
One of the funniest comments I read on Facebook was “it sounds like a gameboy! Shut up and take my money!”.

The first Streb was delivered in 2004.

This was made for the exam 2005, construction started and was finished 2004. 🙂
Not made with the exact same intention and foundlings as the streb. Let’s call it “the Strebs poor and ugly brother”. 😉
