@@numbersisthename5772 Dont move into the inner city of York, thats the only advice i can give you. Theres places available around York and surrounding towns for reasonable prices.

I heard York is definitely not the same as it was in the 90s it started to go downhill in the early 2000s. The only reason I moved down here was because of my husband's work both of us are not happy with this area and want out immediately unfortunately we're going to have to wait till we have everything together and our lease ends so we don't have to pay for a break lease fee and so we're looking at about a year from now.

I haven't watched the whole thing yet but know this isn't the worst city Hood whatever you want to call it in Pennsylvania but it's not the best either. What kind of reaction someone gives in the comment section of this video depends on the person and where they come from originally like me for example when I move to York it was a complete culture shock for me because all my life I have lived in Upper to regular middle-class suburbs people like me hate to say it but it's true I'm even afraid to take my child outside to play on his own because when we moved into our duplex when we came here I was told stay away from that park right down the street because you can and will get shot and so unless my husband is home we will not go outside. We are looking at relocating somewhere else most likely the Lehigh Valley County area close to Allentown or in Allentown itself and not in the city part because that is not what we want and that is not what I want to raise my child around a city of any kind

@Ole Carlos I lived in highlandtown before I lived in Essex in the 80s on south bouldin street. I went to 215 then Hampstead Hill then moved to essex to middle River school then Kenwood and in 90s Essex was tuff area Tall Trees River Dale cardboard city alot of street fighters came out of that area back then. They knocked down all the projects and made the area a bit nicer.
I moved here with my family going on 3 years now. We rented a duplex and my husband said he had to hurry up and get that figured out because he got a promotion with his work so we don't live in the worst area of York but we definitely don't live in the best we live close to princess and queen and I don't know the city very well bottom line we cannot wait to get out of York both my husband and myself have decided that moving here to York was the worst decision we ever made no it's not the worst city in Pennsylvania but it's definitely not the best so you know coming from someone like me I'm used to living in nice middle-class suburb kind of areas coming to this area was a real culture shock I know it was for me so I think I wanted out before my husband did
