History of the German Anthem

One of the most intriguing national anthems is the German national anthem. It has a rich history worth looking into. In this video, we'll investigate the origins of the German anthem, and why the German anthem is performed as it is today.
This video is an experimental one where my actual commentary is involved. There's already a lot of videos about national anthems, but video essays about national anthems are rare to see. This video is an attempt to do just that, starting with Germany. Since this is experimental, please suggest improvements, and point out possible mistakes! I do hope I get the pronunciations right, however.
And yes, this video is my 3rd anniversary special! On this day in 2021, this channel was established.
