  • Tamil bhajan 'Vizhi Kidaikkuma' performed at 'Vaibhav' organised by the Cambridge University Indian Classical Music Society.
This composition - Vizhi Kidaikkuma, set in raagam Gowri Manohari is written in praise of Guru Shri Maha Periyava, the sage of Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu, India, who lived in the 20th century gracing people with his preachings and blessings . The poet of the song expresses his utmost devotion and surrender towards the guru. He asks, “Will the vision of my guru ever fall on me? Will I get blessed by his protective hands during the darkest moments of my life? Will I even get to surrender under the shadow of my Guru’s feet?” The words blend with the strong and soothing melody, immersing our hearts completely into the musical vibe.
