- Lords of Exile (Castlevania-like) All Bosses (No Damage, No Subweapons). Played by Arek The Dragon. It's an 8-bit side-scrolling action platformer developed by Squidbit Works for PC (Steam). The game is similar to such titles as Castlevania, Bloodstained Curse of the Moon, Ninja Gaiden, etc.

Another boss run from me. I waited for release of this game for some time. In the end, it was worth the wait. Not a bad 2d platformer inspired by many old games like Shadow of the Ninja, for example. The difficulty is not very high and there are quite a few checkpoints on stages so the game can be completed in one evening.
Not many additioncal challenges for this boss run. Just a usual "no subweapons" aside from defeting every boss without taking damage. Enjoy.
Do wish it would have came out with the video game systems. Would have played this more than Bloodstained maybe.
It's fitting that you mention Shadow of the Ninja, as it is going to have a new entry in that franchise this year (2024), and, yes it will be multi-platform.
@@paxhumana2015 That’s good then but not sure when though. Pretty sure there needs to be some bugs addressed in order to make that happen but wait & see I guess.
Gotta love the 8-Bit style games, they put so much effort into what little they have to work with.

These might just be 8 bit graphics and music, but the developper really made it shine. I particularily enjoyed the Serpent's Heart parasite boss fight.

I like how the dust clouds in the Boar Lord's fight are shaped like pig snouts.
Cool, I love games with a variety of bosses and enemies with different rewards. Makes it feel like more value for money.

I wouldn't be surprised if they say it's the same universe. Imagine: Gabriel is a descendant of Zangetsu. And Galagar got his power from Sariel.

A tabletop campaign with Galagar as the BBEG sounds pretty cool, actually. nothing wrong with the classic evil warlord.

The wandering Knight boss reminds me of that cowboy cyborg bounty hunter from Samurai jack.
Who ever designed wolverines theme also was a big fan of the rock band Ghost. Because it has Ghost vibes if you listen carefully

While the game is really neat, has solid retro style, and Arek kicks ass at it... am I the only one being weirded out when one of these Metroidvanias doesn't have damage when coliiding with an enemy's sprite? Am I too old school?
Edit: Also, holy shit, is the final boss a Guyver Tekkaman? Nice.
Ахуенная игра в стиле кастлы, мне нравится музыка, удары такие смачные, в целом атмосфера в классическом стиледа конечно тут вме про азиатская тематика, но играеться очень приятно, сложно местами щато интересно, спасибо за видео, жду новых! ❤

There is. Not every boss or enemy deals it but majority of them do.
This is more Ninja Gaiden like as opposed to Castlevania.

I wish they would find a way to make a game better than infernax. I keep buying these Castlevania clones and none of them even come close, especially this when he walks slower than the game boy version of Castlevania and the jumping is horrendous. Not a bad effort but glad I got it on sale
