I love Steuart Smith's playing, one of my favorites. Never heard him talk before, as he's always been a back-up on everything I've seen him on. I first saw him on Austin City Limits on a PBS show way back when before cable tv...I think with Emmylou Harris or maybe Rodney Crowell, but I could be wrong. I always considered him the King of tasty fill-licks. Then, later I bought the Cicadas cd. That was the band he was in with Rodney Crowell and bassist Michael Rhodes, I think. Great musicians! Anyway, he's been with many many artists over the years. One of the greats, as far as I'm concerned. And I had no idea he had spent time in Baltimore and Tacoma Park, near D.C. in the 70s. I was raised in this area.
Great news about that new CD! I met him back when he was playing with Cryin' Out Loud and we became friends when he and Steve Dennis teamed up with Root Boy. My wife and I delivered Slim to their band jobs when they played around the area back in, I believe, 80-81. Memory is going on me. Anyway, thanks for putting up all these great videos. I've spent the afternoon trying to watch them all, but the storms are screwing up my connection.
Awesome video! What a great collection of pickers, and all on one stage. When was this recorded? Steuart's still fairly young looking. Late 80's perhaps?
WOW, they are all tremendous players, but Gantt Kushner has got to be one of the finest in the business! makes me miss the DC music scene. thanks for sharing
These musicians are so much nicer on the ears than the metal shredders of today. It's very refreshing to hear true guitar virtuosity at this level.
This was probably taken before he joined the Eagles as a touring member.

Ray and stuart
Who s the third?
Steuart Smith, Gantt Kushner and Paul Bell are the players. Steve Hudson vocals and Acoustic Guitar.
Pretty poor camera works, obviously, the guy on the camera is not a guitar player as he missed all the best stuff
