    I think it handled the size and weight of the mulcher very good. Powered it good enough for a property owner that's not on the time clock. Sometimes being under powered will keep you from bashing away at it too fast and breaking stuff. Great video!

    Yes, friends, this is undoubtedly a great video and we understand that the mulcher fit & works well. But the question is how a 25 hp tractor will feel and his PTO after several years of work. Can you say something? With respect to your work from Russia

    New to tractors but looks like most of that could have been done with a brush hog? Could probably do a lot more damage in half the time renting a forestry mulcher on a skid steer also. Great channel, love the content!

    There are never enough attachments for the subcompact tractors. Mine is 22 hp. The subcompacts can get into tighter places and are lighter. Is there a smaller mulcher than this one anywhere?

  • @tappedthatsugarshackhallad3909

    Awesome stuff as always. The bigger frame with that extra torque in the 2515 is impressive. Lot a off difference I believe from the T25 with the mulcher on

    I would have liked seeing it used more aggresively. I do most of that with a zero turn. The big stuff nearly stalled it a couple of times. More pto power is needed to get the full benefits but you are showing it can be done with a little tractor. The smaller tractor has big turning and width advantage in the woods. Good video. Briars and vines are what I want to get rid of and i have yet to find a good solution. 😊

    Is it OK for these tractors to start PTO stuff and high RPM's? Most of the ones I've dealt with want PTO's to be engaged/disengaged and idle.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Před rokem

      I tend to agree with you, but they use a solenoid to engage the PTO. The manufacture doesn't seem to mind. It has auto PTO which turns off the PTO when the 3pt hitch is lifted. It comes back on when it is lowered. They did this with the intentions of not changing the throttle.

  • @rottmanthan
    @rottmanthan Před rokem

    would love one of those, but it would have to be smaller, my tractor is 22hp and the weight of that one would be cutting it close.

  • @hughhead9079

    From seeing that mulcher on other CZcams channels, looks like the 2515 is a better frame size to carry it, but REALLY struggles on horsepower to grind anything that's green over 2" or so... On 38hp and especially 49hp machines, that mulcher turns standing trees or downed logs 5 or 6" into chips quick!

    • @TonysTractorAdventure

    Turn up the fuel on the injection pump about 1/2 turn and you got a noticeable increase in power and its runs smoother. But will void the warranty.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Před 3 měsíci

      You can back into a 6" tree turning it to toothpicks over and over. They are not in the same category. I love my flail, but it can't hold up to what a true mulcher can do.

    Much like the small frame tractor it feels like there's just not enough energy in the system, it all looks just a bit touchy feely in everything but the finest material. Great for 1 year maintenance though, definitely looks more capable than a scrub cutter.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Před rokem

      All of the energy is provided by the tractor. The 2515 is a little light on HP, but the T474 rips stuff up with its 48hp.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Před rokem +2

      Not really, The tractor is built to handle a 48hp engine. The engine is a 35hp engine turned down to 25hp to make tier 4. I think this tractor would take this for years unlike a subcompact tractor. This build on the old 8N Ford idea. They took beatings and still are.

      It is made to do this. It has carbide cutters. So far, they are not show any wear. We don't have rocks. Getting into the dirt is the only way to get it mulched up.

  • @bobcatsmith246

    Some of these comments are from vitriolic and possibly mentally challenged people. The title clearly says, "Will they work together?", not, "This is the best combo ever".. Clearly the mulcher would benefit from more pto horsepower. that wasn't the point of the video. I own a 2515H. it's not a powerhouse but its a nice heavy tough machine for a homesteader. I also probably won't break it from trying to do stupid stuff with a compact tractor that probably requires a larger machine.

      The majority of individuals don't purchase semi-trucks for transporting 2x4s; instead, they opt for a pick-up truck. The same concept applies here. This product is designed for those with specific needs and a passion for DIY. Many people in this category already own a tractor, making the overall cost of the mulcher more affordable. Employing someone else to do the job can be expensive, and you don't get to keep their equipment. Moreover, this mulcher is available whenever the landowner is ready to use it. While many rental companies offer them, there's often a waitlist. For those with extensive land and trails to maintain, this product is invaluable, even if it's not suitable for everyone. In conclusion, as seen in the video, this mulcher is compatible with my 48hp tractor, which is considerably more powerful. A viewer inquired about its performance on a 25hp tractor.
