    As a person on antidepressant medication for 2 years now. The first story really hit home. Its really hard for us to acknowledge that we have problems mentally but getting treatment literally saved my life. So to all listeners who are experiencing mental hardships right now, it is alright to seek treatment. Remember that our brain is also an organ, and organs like our heart, stomach etc should be treated always for diseases. Thank you for sharing OP's story

      @@lolwtfbbq111the stigma is frustrating. If your body doesn't produce insulin and you have to take a shot, that's just fine. But, if your body doesn't produce Seritonin or Norepinephrine, and you have to take a pill, some people think it's a weakness. Its a double standard.

      Ahhh I love listening to these while driving at night.
      Funny story. I have a Bluetooth receiver device that allows me to listen to audio in my car from my phone. In order to use the device you need to set it to a specific radio frequency, and so sometimes it can completely swap audio signals with random cars that are on the road with me.... maybe they're using the same buletooth device?
      Anyways, one night, around close to midnight I was driving home and listening to horror narratives on youtube. And then suddenly my audio swapped and some random song came on. After a few seconds the audio just completely shuts off lol!! This means the other driver must've caught my audio and was wondering why in the middle of the night, on the road would such a creepy thing just come on lol

Even when you said “it doesn’t make sense” or whatever, I understood. Wasn’t put on medication or anything for it, I don’t even know if I ever talked to a professional about it in detail, but I don’t have them anymore. Thinking or talking about them sometimes still makes me feel some kind of way, though.

    I feel for the guy in the first story. I had a breakdown after caring for my mom who has Alzheimer’s while working full time. This was before Corona, like right before. Now I’m so incredibly burned out that I spend my days off sleeping, listening to Let’s Read, or both, and taking care of my pets. I’m at a breaking point and can barely put one foot in front of the other without feeling exhausted. I’m a shell of the person i used to be. I don’t have any hallucinations:; nothing like that. I’m just in a chronic apathetic state and my soul is tired. This channel keeps me sane and I’m grateful for that.

      @GeneralBumpkis Před 2 lety +1

      I’ve seen the horrors of what caring for loved ones with Alz/dementia does to the living. It’s never easy. You really need to find somebody to talk to, or at least mention it to your doctor. You may need medication to help bring you out of it, but talking about it is crucial. I know that’s easier said than done when you’re in such a state though…been there…still kinda there myself if I’m being honest. I wish you the best of luck in finding some peace again.

    • @RegisteredNurseL.A.
      @RegisteredNurseL.A. Před 2 lety +1

      @@GeneralBumpkis I do talk to a therapist weekly and I take Lexapro. I could talk about it for hours but who wants to listen? And if you’ve ever noticed when you’re going through a tough time people tend to disappear on you, and it leaves one feeling more isolated. I used to lift weights four days a week with an upper/lower split and I loved it. This was prior to mom. I tried to continue but she couldn’t be left alone. I just joined a gym last week and I don’t care if I go on the treadmill for an hour, at least it’s something. I’m from So Cal and live in WA now and the weather just does not agree with me at all. I like to garden but not when it’s 30 degrees out. I know this will pass. It’s just this year has been particularly hard for some reason. We’ll get through it ♥️

    Weird hearing a story from my local area, which despite its brutality didn't seem to get much attention at the time. The community mental health teams here are absolutely shocking though and I hold them responsible for this tragedy. I also think Travelodge shouldn't have had lone night workers on reception in a hotel that is commonly used for housing ex-offenders upon their initial release from prison. RIP Marta, you didn't deserve this. x

    Oh my god that first one would be my dream job, alone watching all the CZcams & TikTok you want, access to a fully stocked kitchen and you’re in a beautiful (and safe) old hotel. Sign me up... No but seriously I’m sorry about their mental illness, hallucinations have got to be absolutely terrifying. I have PTSD so I’ve experienced several panic attacks and things happening that I know aren’t making sense during flashbacks and it’s the most isolating and scary feeling imaginable. Wishing them all the best in their healing journey

    The comments about Britney Spires is all wrong. In an interview with her and personal friends said the reason she shaved her head was because everytime she was around a group of people the would touch her hair or it got pulled. So she was so tried of it she shaved her hair.
    I personally get tried of people saying because a star does something they are crazy or something is wrong with. You do not know what they personally go through day in and day out. Or how people treat them. Or what they are dealing with. So stop judging them from what RUMORS you hear or lies you read. They are people too.

    • @melodiechartier5173
      @melodiechartier5173 Před 2 lety +2

      I like retient and feel for her and what she went through but she definitely had a mental breakdown right about the time she shaved all of her hair, so most likely she did it during one of her episodes. You say not to judge people from rumours we eat or lies we read but saying that she did it "because she was tired or people touching and pulling on it" might just be a rumour also, you don't know for sure if it's true, did she told you that herself personally?? Don't think so, and even if she would have said it in an interview, of course she is going to protect herself and her reputation by blaming it on something that isn't going to compromise her.

    • @lindajones5443

      @Hyperskreem 82 No. You need to remember that celebrities are human to. But to say someone is crazy because you dont understand why they did what they did is stupid.
