My girlfriend is making these for a 80's birthday party and finding this video was a huge help. Thank you
So glad you found the video helpful :) have a great party!!
Thanks for doing this...what suze is the box?
Reyna Castillo glad you enjoyed the video! I used a 12”x12”x12” box :)
May I ask you what you used to use on the corner of the box when you put it on the Dow rod?
I’m afraid I don’t understand your question. Can you perhaps reword it as I’d love to help clarify what you’re wanting to know 💜
I'd like help to figure out how to make a boom box radio
Are the squares construction paper? Did you ever make the Pac-Man project?
...bought 12x12 boxes and 12x12 paper...paper does not fit box surface (too small...approx a ½ inch too small). Suggestions? Thanks.
thay look biger then 12x12
They are indeed 12”x12”x12” boxes :) The used 12x12 paper as my base as well.
Hi! I wondering have you done this for a bigger size Rubik;s Cube ? If so what size would the squares be
I haven’t made one larger than 12” however you could! Basically the smaller squares are approx 1/3. So 1/3 of 12” is 4, (I cut them a little bit smaller to allow the look of the “seam”so if you had an 18” box, make the squares 6”. If that doesn’t make sense let me know and I’ll try to reword it. Hope that helps :)
Hello awesome concept. But what about painting the outlines of the box black.
That’s an awesome idea!
What kind of paper do u use for the color squares? Construction paper or what?
I personally used 60lb card stock for this project.
However construction paper would also work :)
Is there a way to make this a wearable as a head? I have a character that has a Rubik's cube head and I'd love to dress as her for halloween or something!
Emily Marie I am so very sorry! I am just realizing I missed your comment! I would imagine you could cut eyes and bottom out to make a hat/head. But I would practice on a box before you decorate it :)
Do you have a list of items and measurements in detail
Unfortunately I didn’t make a list to reference but my video does talk about what you need and sizing to make a 12” cube :) you’re always welcome to message me when n my Facebook page and I can try to describe it better to you. My link is in my bio and video description 😘
Was helpful I just spray painted the box black LOL
Nice idea! And a
Paper saver!
What if you want it to be a lil smaller
Of course you can size down :)
So for example this tutorial shows a 12” box. If you wanted to make an 8” box cut 8x8 squares, and the smaller squares I’d suggest cutting at just over 2.5”. See if that works and hope that makes sense :)
Hello. Excuse me, what material is cardboard or sheet of paper?
Sorry for the slow reply. The box is just a standard cardboard box, and the paper I used card stock/scrapbook paper (80lb weight)
Hey you mentioned 3 and 3/4 what is the length
Hi there I think I spoke to you on my Facebook page :) but just in case you’re someone else this video shows instructions for a 12” cube. The 9 squares to go over top are 3.75” and that allows a little bit of space between each square :) hope that helps answer your question.
Can I have the measurements for the square
If you are making the box at the size in the video (12” box) you would use a 12”x12” base layer in black and the small squares would be 3.75” x 3.75” each
Could you please post supplies needed
Hello there I’d be happy to write it out.
For each set making one rubix cube you will need:
A paper cutter
Adhesive (I suggest to use either tape runner or two sided adhesive squares)
5 sheets of Black cardstock (for this tutorial I used 12x12 paper)
Cardstock in red, white, green, blue, yellow, and orange
Cut into 3.75x3.75 squares (cut approx 8 of each color) you need a total of 45 smaller squares for this project.
Foam squares
12x12x12 sized cardboard box taped closed
That’s it :) the tutorial will show you at each step when to use them 😘
Hope that helps
hi where can i find the paper that u used?
drea9x drea9x I used 12”x12” cardstock. You can get it at your local craft store such as #hobbylobby #michaels etc
@@gettingcraftywithcari949 thank you i found some at wal mart it was kinda high but worked grate Im working on the boxes now.
drea9x drea9x yay! Hope they turn out good for you :) thanks for watching and please subscribe to my channel if you don’t already
How big is the black sheet n box
I used 12”x12” cardstock for the black
Thank you

Portrait mode??? Seriously?
"There' s no specific pattern that you need to make these in..." - Yes there is...
Michael Manuel I have learned for those who would know rubix cube layout, I guess there is a particular pattern! I guess for the nonrealizing gal like me I thought it didn’t matter. Sorry about that.
Can someone please tell me the size box
Hello Julia. In this tutorial I used 12”x12”x12” boxes. You can Alabama modify the cuts if you want smaller boxes used but in this specific one it was 12” :)
@@gettingcraftywithcari949 thank u very much
Hi please can you make a pac man thanks
Disclaimer: it's not working
I’m sorry it’s not working for you! Is there a specific question I could answer to hopefully assist you?
How the hell is this a rubik’s cube if it doesn’t spin? IT IS JUST A COLOURED CARDBOARD BOX!
It’s meant to be used as a decoration for a party or backdrop. Sorry if you thought it was a moveable or functioning cube. It’s meant to be as a decoration/craft
Hi I try to pay for your service you no longer there ..I want to make sure that was you on FB and not a scammer..
I haven’t heard from you back on Facebook. I’ll send you another reply now from there but yes that me.
This has been a nightmare
Ooh no I’m sorry
@@gettingcraftywithcari949 please don't be sorry...I had to buy larger paper and cut it down...then after using double sided table and a glue stick, old-fashioned Elmer's Glue did the trick.
@@andreameans6312 yes my boxes were 12” boxes so when larger it will take some adjustment and larger paper/different dimensions. In the future if you ever need help just reach out to my Facebook page and I can help walk you through. But glad to hear you were able to make it work. xoxo
@@gettingcraftywithcari949 thank you! It's just weird, because I used 12x12 boxes, but the 12x12 paper didn't match.
So I need you to make the rubix panel for me and I can get the boxes from Walmart..and I need the 90's photo frame ,and the banner .I did find your Facebook
I’ll find you there :)
