DJI O3 AIR UNIT | Cinematic FPV Game Changer?

- All the FPV shots in this video are shot on the DJI O3 Air Unit!
I tested the video transmission system over the last weeks and when I received the package I was sceptical at fist. As always we are comfortable with things we know and are used to. Once I sent my drone for the first time, I was quite impressed I have to admit. The same quality like on the Avata but now inside my self-build FPV drone, well done! I can already see the advantage for the FPV freestyle community ;) Even the OSD screen got smaller, you can now enjoy FULL HD OLED which makes your flight experience even more immersive. I really like that you can take off the Antennas on the googles 2, especially during travels. Further, you have double the output power and you can make various throughput adjustments which helps in complex environment. There might be some things you might miss from the old system which will be added soon :)

Amazing video. We are looking for a way to output not to a second set of FPV goggles, but to a larger TV or monitor so multiple people can watch simultaneously. Do you know if that can be done easily? Thanks!

This makes me think of switching to digital finally 😄 I was always concerned about the breakups when doing long range stuff. But seeing you using it for this lets me hope. How are your experience with range and breakup during long range flying? PS: You have been one of the reasons to travel to madeira and fly there too, making my own madeira FPV video 😁✌🏻

Been flying digital for 2.5 years with the O2 Air Unit and have managed 5+km at 1mw. 50mbps was consistent and always had confidence. Dip below hills and far side of mountains and sure there's some loss but the quality is still adequate to maintain confidence. Just bought two O3's. One for my LR quad and the other for my OAS 5.5v2 frame.

If only that camera was as good as GoPros especially the hdr it really was a complete gamechanger. Now it’s a huge update let’s say.
Well did you ever try to grade HDR coming from a small camera? Therr is a lot to be done in my opinion plus most platforms are not ready

Funny enough, I'm more excited about using this for tiny whoops or sth like the Flywoo Explorer, so I don't have to bother with naked GoPros anymore
But the DJI fuckoff range is always welcome in my primary builds haha

I saw that you can now use the dji controller 2 with the unit. Would you consider ditching tbs tango for even longer range? I just like the form favtor and having less antenna on my build.
Yeah I love all the radios I have but the simplicity of that solution is very appealing.
I use tango2 or radiomaster
the mamba mk4 f740 aio power the o3 air unit directly with vbat.... is there any over heating or risk by doing that......the aio also have a tvs diod protection for safety ..... or i need to cut the wire and add a bec for safety...... please help.. i am a little bit confused😢
Your videos are amazing! Fantastic editing too! How are you able to fly in some of the places like around the church, near the train, etc? Do you need to get approval.. or is your area of the world not regulated/monitored like the USA is?

@@davidgautier5088 Yah.. I assumed probably not really allowed in at least some of the places. Or hired to do so and able to share the video.
Switzerland is definitly more chilld than USA. Our legal system also has not this “ I sue you mentality” becuase it works differently 😂further we are now transitioning to the EU law in 2023 and it will be more strict. I had permission to fly at all locations.

How about the range? Did it increase? Is the lens replacability in case of some Grass cutting? Isnt Fov too big for True X frames? (props in view). People complain about dynamic range, but I can see it's queit fine on your videos
