Latinos we ain’t offended by Shia playing a Latin gangster. Shia grow up in Echo Park and especially when Echo Park was infested with gangs and when it was majorly Mexicans living there. The movies story could have been a bit more in depth. Creeper is known as "the devil" but he didn't get to do anything that gave him that reputation in the movie. He needed much more screen time...like a lot more. I'd be down to watching a movie just based on Creeper. You can create a good plot for him. Shia played the role really well.

It baffles me sometimes how gangsters and members of the mob would want to raise a family. I mean not only is their life in danger all the time, but so too is their family, who their rivals could use as leverage against them.

@@culps96 yes sir, just don't want this to fall into the Bright or Suicide Squad realm. Besides those two movies he's got a great track record, and Suicide Squad probably would have been much better if the studio didn't get their hands in it.
@@mpe80k David has been saying recently that his cut of Suicide Squad is different than the one we saw and fits with the style of his other movies and the very first trailer with the "Jokes on you" music. Here's hoping it releases soon cause so much was cut by WB

Hector dreamt up the entire story of Tax Collector the movie is his dream .
Hector works at Chicos tacos and had a mental breakdown and his dillusions of grandeur combined with PTSD and Alcoholism caused him to become catatonic and in his frozen state he dreamt it all up
I just watched the movie. Had to goto 3 different red boxes to find it. All of them were out. Anyways I love the movie. The story is awesome. I love all kinds of gangster movies. The only thing I am disappointed with is what everyone else is disappointed with. I was super excited to see Shia play this role. I think he did a great job. I just wish there was more.
Judging by the comments I don’t think much people know Shia got his whole chest tattooed for reals for this movie

why are people so freaking sensitive? the director said his character is white not Mexican.. this is why Shia doesn't even barely act anymore.. to much stress of people coming for him for no reason when he's just trying to act and do a job he loves.

Yes, I white actor is playing a white character who acts Latino because he was raised that way... I dunno how this is hard to understand, without it being wraped to someone offensive ethnical agenda. Would it make more sense to have a Latino actor playing a white character who acts Latino? Or does the entire idea of a white actor acting as a character who act Latino the only thing that offends you about this movie?
Yeah, I'm one of those white people, haha. Its the only reason I felt it neccessary to defend Shia so much. I mean, yeah, he's just an actor doing his job and not an actual whiteboy from the hood, but I just want people to understand the concept of the story instead of jumping to conclusions over race.

Titus McCarthy I know. He was awesome in that. The whole main cast did a great job in that movie. It is my favorite David Ayers movie. It is such a great film.
I just finished watching it and honestly.. it was an amazing movie.. only thing I didn’t like was the fact Shia didn’t get to live up to his name.. but other than that, 10/10 for me. 🔥🔥💯
They need to make a series out of this!!
