- Daylight saving time ended on the last weekend in October, and with it the regular excursion train season. These trains run every Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from March to the end of October. At the end of the season, I took a regular historic train, the Kokořínský rychlík, operated by KŽC doprava. This train consists of iconic Bautzen coaches in original condition and a class 749 locomotive.

The ČKD prime mover's sound is incredibile... I have goosebumps, not only the sound, but the childhood memories.
To be having Bautzener coaches on ordinary passenger trains... like holidays. ...and a decade later I dearly missed the Tatra Smíchov ones...😎 ...the old school craftmanship.
These trains are nice nostalgia and I'm glad we can still ride them :-)

Thanks so much! Trains got splitted just at Praha-Vršovice station, the Lužickohorský rychlík departs a little later.
V komentářích všichni mluví o zvuku Bardotky (jako ano, je velmi jednoduše rozeznatelný), ale ta vůně motorového oleje, když Bardotka projíždí, to už je zážitek
Mrzí mě, že jsem jí aspoň nezastihla na nádražích a tak
A doufám že se někdy potkáme na nějaké akci!
(doporučuju mikulášské jízdy na Zubačce!)

Díky za zhlédnutí :-) Bardotky se nám zase vrátí na jaře, kdy začne provoz sezónních vlaků. Dříve jezdila také jedna pravidelně na některých víkendových vlacích Praha - Čerčany přes Vrané nad Vltavou (Poázavksý Pacifik), ale nyní tam vídám s patrovými vozy spíše Brejlovce. :-)
Krása, ten zvuk Bardotky je něco nádherného :D
Taky ho mamma Radio, když jsem ho dříve nesnášel :-D Ale to bylo tím, že nám na mé bývalé domovské trati sebrali mé oblíbené 754 a nahradily je 749 :-D

@@PeteBrandy I watched the latest video, I thought the train was operated by CD as I was looking at the CD website for times and price. I assume OS operates both segments? or does CD operate the first segment and OS the second.

Díky moc za zhlédnutí! To jsme na tom podobně, akorát u nás s těmito vozy jezdili hlavně Brejlovci. To se určitě podaří, Béčka jezdí pravidelně na dvou vlacích, a pak ještě blíž k vám jezdí Rakovnický rychlík s Bardotkou a velkými Balmy (Bmx a Amx), na ty se chystám příští rok :-)

I’m always endlessly impressed by the immaculate state of the infrastructure there and in most other European countries: except here in the Uk. Here you’d be forgiven for thinking they were rewilding the railway on purpose with metre tall weeds growing freely and lines over grown with grass so long it looks like trains are running across a meadow.
Most of the main lines in our country have already been reconstructed, the line on which I rode this train underwent reconstruction only a few years ago. But here are also a few railway lines where grass grows between the tracks :-D
Sadly, we see this at main junction stations like Carlisle, Pete. But we live in hope especially with the highest rail fares in Europe 😬
That would be literally illegal here, they would have to close such tracks.
I wonder if the heating would actually work? Those locos were made with a steam generator, but these cars are using electric heating...
Oh and by the way, the first loco (grey-red) was actually from the prototype series, very nice!
This locomotive is already equipped for electric heating of trains ... you can also see the heating cable on the locomotive. Yes, locomotive 006 that hauled the train to the origin station is a prototype, I traveled by train with this locomotive last year (Rakovnický rychík).

Až na ty sedadla, která jsou už v Najbrt povahu. Ale tyto koženkové jsou za mě lepší
Bautzeny jezdí stále i u nás, občas jezdím vozem AB349 na Sp Sázava, kde je řazen společně s vozy Bdt280. Ty koženkové nebyly úplně špatné, sedělo se mi tam dobře :-D
@@PeteBrandy ty v Najbrtu jsou často prosezené a nedá se na nich sedět. Na koukání z otevřeného okna jsou béčka super, ale třeba z Brna do Prahy bych tím v sedě s novějšími Najbrt sedadly jet fakt nechtěl :D
Taky jsme tam byli a bude i díl, jen ještě nevíme, kdy ho vydáme.
To se moc těším, a kdy jste jeli? Já stihl poslední sobotu v říjnu. Jinak ten díl o trati z HavlBrodu byl super 😎

In the beginning of the video you can see the announced train to "Wien Franz-Josefs Bf". Maybe you will make a report about this train. I already made a video from the train between "Wien Franz-Josef Bf" and Ceske Velenice. This is the first stop of the train after the Austrian boarder.
Yes, the Silva Nortica train. It is an extended R Lužnice (fast train) which otherwise runs on the route Prague - České Velenice .. and I am planning the whole route soon.. Otherwise, I also have 2 videos from the route Wien FJB - České Velenice, one with ÖBB Cityjet (Desiro ML) and one with Cityjet Dosto :-)

Ahoj, jo, mám, dokonce už delší dobu :-D Už mělo měl být v březnu, ale termín co jsem jel z Curychu byl už vyprodaný takže jsem musel lůžkem přes Linz :-D

Why does train take over 2 hours to cover just 48 miles?
There were longer stops in the total of almost 40 minutes, and this train is also an excursion train that runs partly on local railway lines where the travel speed is lower.
These retro rides have probably low priority, you have to wait everywhere.
Je trochu smutné, že v porovnání s některými rychlíky ČD to zas až takové retro není. Vlastně jen ty bardotky dráhy už vyřadily
Ale naštěstí zůstaly už jen ty humanizované Bautzeny, poslední koženky už myslím dojezdily jak Brněnské, tak i Budějovické. ČD ještě nějaké 749 zůstaly, jedna jezdila s Bdmteeo na Posázavském Pacifiku do Června, teď se má myslím jedna vrátit po opravě.
@@PeteBrandy jojo, všechny už jsou v najbrtu a přečalouněné. O těch zamračených jsem nevěděl. Někde jsem četl, že je dráhy z pravidelného provozu už vyřadily. Ale zjevně asi ne...
Praha-Libeň měla mít ještě ve stavu 3 kusy. Loni jezdila zeleno-krémová 749 na sezónním vlaku Cyklo Brdy, toto léto už jsem tam ale vídal 754. Ale nedávno jsem viděl foto, že jedna procházela renovací, takže očekávám že by se mohla na zimu vrátit na Posázavský Pacifik (teď je tam výluka).. Jinak tu mám jedno video z roku 2021 z této trati právě s Bdmteeo a táhla nás červeno šedá 749.

This isn't regular train. This is historical or retro train. This isn't usual way of traveling to school, work or whatever. This is reminder of childhood for most of people
