    Great take on Timmins. His 2008-2016 drafting is the primary reason that Bergevin era has ended

    What went wrong.
    Just look at the draft record over the last decade. The writing was on the wall for a while. The last few drafts have looked better but still, they really haven't found the sort of home run picks they needed to ice a deep and competitive team.

      Nothing went wrong, Bergevin just wanted out. The Stanley Cup run took alot out of the team and management too.
      He just wants to spend time with family now.

    If Montreal wins the Stanley Cup this year the only person who should get a ring is the wizard that space jammed the 31 other teams.

    I mean there's like 30 million on injured reserve, lost our number 1 center, number 1 Dman, and our number 1 goalie (however Allen isn't the problem). It was pretty obvious this year was going to be horrible lmao...

    Nothing went wrong, they were lucky to make the Finals to begin with. Its was a balance of fortunate goals and Price standing on his head.

      This feeling exactly. Bergy did some good things (really messed up this off season) but Timmins has been the bane of the organization imo, purely on the horrendous drafting. Then the ones the Habs actually did hit on, won back to back cups in Tampa Bay.

    • @mafmaf6417
      @mafmaf6417 Před 2 lety +1

      Vegas is not a Canadian team. The fact is they beat 3 teams that should have beat them hands down, including a sweep. They killed 30 penalty kills in a row. Sure luck is always a factor, that happens all the time, but no one can say they made it to the SCF because of luck. They played dam good hockey. Obviously the players that are no longer here had a huge impact, but the core players just are not showing up and their defence is atrocious. They need to fix the D and make Gally the captain.

      @@lockednloaded9867 they beat 3 teams to make it there. Tampa was over the cap. Does that mean without being over the cap they didn't deserve to be there. Not at all. Montreal was given an opportunity and they took it.
