they don't have assets to TOM 2 graphics anymore, only HD recreations of the pipes bumpset and the TOM 3.5 bumps

SlimD716 literally restored all the old files for Tom 2 and archive them throughout the years and even has them up to the current quality of 4K guarantee you slim would be more than OK if Jason DeMarco called him up and ask them if they could use those that he displays on his CZcams channel.
To be fair this aesthetic is easier to replicate than the pipes one.

Toonami had the best shows ever like Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, ReBoot, Zoids, Tenchi Muyo, Ronin Warriors, Outlaw Star, G Gundam, Rurouni Kenshin, Naruto, Big O, Gundam Wing, Justice League Unlimited, Voltron, Robotech, One Piece, Zatch Bell, IGPX, Cyborg 009, Rave Master and Teen Titans
I can undersand them using the modern absolution for the block, I just wish they would use the Pipes insteaf of the Tom 3 idents. The pipes feel most synonymours with after school weekday toonami, where what they are using just makes me think of Saturdays. Having said that, it was probably the most inexpensive option to use the Tom 3 Saturday bumps.

Same thing. I watched Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z on The WB! Television Network (WB20) at 6:30 AM, and 7:00 AM in the late 1990s when I was a kid back then.

these are very visibly AI upscaled from old recordings though, going to the original files is better if you want to adopt your packaging to HDTV standards

@@Jose2Hernandez-tc3ux I 100% get it. I prefer the ocean dub DBZ for the first 50ish episodes. Which many hate for its edits, etc. I also prefer the ADV dub of Saint Seiya, Which is widely disliked.
If you like it, that is all that matters.

2:04 I seriously don’t understand why they’re saying for “Naruto we’re going to party like it’s 1999” when Naruto English dub didn’t come out until 2005 they should’ve been used for DBZ but even then it wouldn’t of made sense since it wasn’t the original DBZ dub.

The Naruto manga released in 1999, so they're reffering to the series as a whole not just its life on Toonami.

The concept of this block is about what we watched when it first came out Naruto the English dub didn’t come out until 2005 the manga coming out in Japan does not matter because no one knew about it here in the United States at that time. Majority of the audience that’s watching it will not get that reference. As it’s out of place.

However, the block is supposed to be about when the show aired in America because this block is an American block. Naruto didn’t air in the United States in 1999 so again her saying that made next to no since.

Can't stand the BELIEVE IT shit in Naruto (which is why I specifically switched to the sub version) but I am glad people can enjoy the classics.
I can’t stand him saying “you know” “believe it” is far better than “you know”. Translations from the Japanese since the Japanese word doesn’t have a translational word believe it was the closest to it, and they should’ve stuck with it through an Naruto Shippuden. I hate how in the flashbacks they try to pretend that “believe it” didn’t happen.
It's better than Naruto sounding like Paul McCartney or John Lennon saying "y'know" all the time, y'know?
