I like the sentiment but I don't think you give this dude enough credit! Haydunn has always been about using the lesser known or used mons and showing that with a good trainer at the helm anything is possible. Sometimes though no matter how good you are the odds just aren't in your favour - due to type matchup or sheer power / BST difference and there's not much you can do on the end of a good setup. Bax is a massive threat and was banned in OU - not saying this is why dude lost but just looking at the teams it was always going to be an uphill battle. If Haydunn was bringing the same caliber of team as his opponent I'd put money on him getting the cherries 9 times outta 10

All I can say is that from the observations and from what I read in the comment section he is still a bit green when it comes to handling opponents that can prepare against him. I am not trying to say that he is bad or anything and I am certainly not trying to take anything from him, but he needs some more experience in this particular field. He’s not lacking skill or expertiese or knowledge, he’s just lacking some prepping experience in my opinion. That’s all.

If you sucked at draft, you’d have floundered from the load out screen. This was a good showing from your opponent and props showing a game where you got checked and stomped. Damn that's unfortunate. Using bulk up first _I think_ would have allowed you to activate the red card or if he actually attacked first and you get the counter, but usually once you over-predict with a counter on a setup-mon the cat's out of the bag and it starts snowballing from there.
I've been watching for a long time and I love these intense battles. The pre-game prep you talk through is very insightful. I've never followed this league before, but it's very interesting to see how you approach each match-up differently and with crazy variety on sets outside what's meta from Smogon.

as soon as he dragon danced im thinking "hes probably going to dragon dance again since hes at full HP. so its best to match the attack power with defense boosts in bulk up instead of choosing counter" and sure enough, thats what happens. of course bulking up doesnt get rid of baxcalibur as a threat entirely, but it does delay when he comes back out to repeat the process.
Baxcalibur the GOAT. Pair it up with armorouge and use lava plume for the thermal exchange and then making baxcalibur to use scale shot and u instantly set up dragon dance with an attack in one turn😎👊🏼

You can prep for what you assume but you dont ever truly know what youre opponent is going to bring. That clear seed really came in clutch for your opponent but next time maybw youll get a clutch moment amd get a sweep. Stay strong you got this.

@@morrt8579 Sooner or later it's going to come, he either cracks the problem or leaves the drafts, I suppose that right now he's feeling like he's in way above his head, but I think that he has enough knowledge and experience to get some wins. I mean he basically humiliates 99% of the people he plays normally, now it's just a question of figuring out how to prepare for more structured matches with people that are used to that kind of thing.
I enjoy Haydunn's videos, but it's also fairly obvious to me that majority of his opponents are far from respectable at competitive battling. He also too regularly makes questionable plays that would typically be punished by more experienced players. That said, this draft league might not be the most competitive we've seen, but majority of the coaches on here are significantly more seasoned than Haydunn's typical opponent. He would need to greatly improve his decision making, cutting out a lot of his silly mistakes, if he is to really make a splash, considering his relatively sub-par team.
@@yoseesteve9055 I agree but I would stress the fact that as you said, up until now he's been playing against opponents that were amateurs or a bit better than amateurs. And he usually beats them with relative ease. I like that he's trying to move towards a more competitive environment (were people are clearly more experienced than him), still far from wolfey VGC but if he wants to continue he's just going to lose adapt and overcome. That's the only way you can actually learn something.
Draft is all about match ups. Bax is really good against your team. Max hp max defense on Gyarados with TWave would’ve helped expose the clear amulet with a chance of paralyzing. The season ain’t over yet. Just go 1-0 Haydunn. One game at a time. Have fun bro :) this is why we play Pokemon after all.

@@morrt8579 Sooner or later it's going to come, he either cracks the problem or leaves the drafts, I suppose that right now he's feeling like he's in way above his head, but I think that he has enough knowledge and experience to get some wins.
I mean he basically humiliates 99% of the people he plays normally, now it's just a question of figuring out how to prepare for more structured matches with people that are used to that kind of thing.
I enjoy Haydunn's videos, but it's also fairly obvious to me that majority of his opponents are far from respectable at competitive battling. He also too regularly makes questionable plays that would typically be punished by more experienced players.
That said, this draft league might not be the most competitive we've seen, but majority of the coaches on here are significantly more seasoned than Haydunn's typical opponent. He would need to greatly improve his decision making, cutting out a lot of his silly mistakes, if he is to really make a splash, considering his relatively sub-par team.
@@yoseesteve9055 I agree but I would stress the fact that as you said, up until now he's been playing against opponents that were amateurs or a bit better than amateurs. And he usually beats them with relative ease.
I like that he's trying to move towards a more competitive environment (were people are clearly more experienced than him), still far from wolfey VGC but if he wants to continue he's just going to lose adapt and overcome. That's the only way you can actually learn something.
Draft is all about match ups. Bax is really good against your team. Max hp max defense on Gyarados with TWave would’ve helped expose the clear amulet with a chance of paralyzing.
