This takes me back to when I was 5, trips to Target with my mom in the early 90s and her picking up a bottle of Vanilla Fields. Thank you for this sweet memory.

I've had several Coty fragrances & they always smell good but don't perform well. Wild Musk was my sig scent in the 80's & lasted all day, current formulation lasts about 30 min

Your personality is so honest and nice! I like that you clearly knew how to smell out notes but you weren't being pretentious about it or listing the notes off of fragrantica. This felt like if you sprayed your arm and walked up to someone and said "tell me what I smell like!". Super helpful! I was torn between vanilla fields and vanilla musk but I will get the fields now thanks to you :)

I love Vanilla Fields. My Mom wore it for awhile when I was a young girl, I used to sneak some sprays from her bottle.

I recently bought Vanilla Fields and at first spray I didn't like it very much because the geranium was too pungent, sharp and chemically smelling. But, after it settles on my skin I get a vanilla fragrance that is toned down by the sandalwood, musk and cedar so it's only slightly sweet. I think this will be a nice warm fragrance for winter time.
Coty wild musk oil or cologne spray was the best musk. The hippy scent of the 70s. The vanilla musk came along a decade later and was headache-y and over powering. I’m not a vanilla person but the vanilla fields smelled nice on others the Jasmine factor probably made me like it. The Poision factor is probably deep plum and jasmine notes . That perfume always reminded me of wine, so probably the plum notes
Hmmm yeah you’re probably right. I struggle with plum notes in my fragrances

Wild Musk has been reformulated. It used to be a VERY animalic powerhouse which I did not care for. The new version has been toned down a lot. Have you tried Jovan White Musk? I think that's a nice classic.

Vanilla Fields, my first impression was a prominent jasmine floral. After it settled to a more powdery vanilla amber scent.
My grandma had Emeraude by Coty on her dresser.
I used to LOVE Coty Wild Musk Patchouli Blend back in the 80s.. And it was my signature frag. It was gorgeous! I am so gutted that they dont make it anymore.

I just ordered vanilla fields and vanilla musk to add to my collection. 😊 I’m not opposed to vintage fragrances. What ever smells good and makes me feel good I’m definitely attracted to! I’ve looked for these in stores, but I couldn’t find them. I ordered on Amazon and I hope I like them! Thank you for your review ❤

I wore Vanilla Fields when I was in junior high, along with Exclamation and the women's version of Aspen by Coty. Those 80s/90s drugstore perfumes were pretty good for their price. They don't smell as nice as I remember them smelling at the time lol, but tastes change ;-) Very fun video idea!

Yay!!!! #1, I love that you said mosquito repellant because I totally just got chopard casmir this past Friday (because I used to wear vanilla fields in junior high and heard they smell alike) and truly smell deet mosquito repellent when I first spray!!! But have never heard anyone say that..
#2- comparing chopard to vanilla fields- do you detect that repellent smell??
I’m not sure if I should but vanilla fields separately, which I never recalled having that note like casmir does (to me at least)
Also, as far as vanilla’s, one that satisfies me from a gormond standpoint is Eau Gourmande Vanille from Laura mercier. Last year I bought vanilla woods by 7 virtues as well as kayali vanilla 28- and neither hit the spot like Laura Mercier.
I would say that Casmir is much better than Vanilla Fields in that regard personally! And I really do want to get Laura Mercier fragrances but I can never find them in marshalls and stuff on a deal …

I’m sure you’ve probably tried it, but my favorite oldie is Mackie by bob mackie. Reminds me of my mom.
I pulled the scents notes over for you if you haven’t tried it..
Top notes are Peach, Pineapple and Raspberry; middle notes are Ylang-Ylang, Tuberose, Narcissus, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Honeysuckle and Rose; base notes are Amber, Sandalwood, Musk, Patchouli and Vetiver.
Vanilla musk smells like Hannàe Mori. Or vice versa. Its nice.
I love Kiehls Original musk, oil or spray, it's wonderful, and Skin musk, by parfums de coeur is still around, the oil is the greatest! Coty Wild Musk oil used to be THE BOMB back in the day!💕 I sure miss it...I wouldn't buy what Coty is pushing now. If they started selling the old, original Coty Wild Musk oil, it'd sell so fast they wouldn't know what hit em!! It'd be the new rage.
