The Europeans had nothing to gain from sabotage, since they still needed the supply. Prior to the explosions on the Nord-stream pipeline, there were excuses from the Kremlin on "oh, there are technical issues", or "There needs to be repairs, so it's being shut off temporarily"... Then after those excuses ran out, they just decided to blow it up, which Putin knew would leave Europe having to buy higher prices elsewhere, which is exactly what happened. LNG. @@Pathippie

However, the Zelensky regime went as far as banning them from speaking Russian in public, while Russian is the mothertongue of about 20% of the Russian population. I live in a part of the Netherlands where most people grow up speaking Limburgish. However, if I decide to go to Amsterdam, I am allowed to speak Limburgish whenever I want to.
