Putin refers to himself as a former KGB officer to save his previous existence from total irrelevance. He was only filing and washing the floors, but it's still one up from the gutter he came from

Very good but really brushed over his early years, Warographics have done a real deepdive of hes early years. Its not 100% true nor is it untrue that putin was poor as a child.
