    🥁Drummer Yoyoka’s Profile🥁
Born in October 2009, she started playing drums at the age of two, played live at four, and formed her family band "Kaneaiyoyoka" at five. At 6 years old, she even released her first CD while in kindergarten.
In addition to drums, Yoyoka sings vocals, plays the piano and is a songwriter. In 2018, at the age of 8, she became the youngest weekly champion in the under-18 category of the international female drummer contest "Hit Like A Girl".
Her application video, a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Good Times Bad Times" was featured on NBC, NPR, in Rolling Stone Magazine and in Billboard and then spread all over the world.
Her drumming prowess has been praised by music legends such as Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Sheryl Crow, Gene Simmons and Eric Singer (KISS), Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth), Hayley Williams (Paramore), Sass Jordan, Tony Royster Jr., Brad Wilk (Rage Against the Machine) , Derrick McKenzie (Jamiroquai).
At the age of eight, Yoyoka appeared in Japan's famous rock festival "RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL in EZO" as the youngest performer ever and made a surprise appearance on the stage of Fall Out Boy in "Summer Sonic Tokyo" in front of an audience of 20,000. Later, she was the guest drummer for two songs of Cyndi Lauper’s performance at Tokyo Orchard Hall, the last day of her Japan tour.
Yoyoka is endorsed by world-class brands such as Nike, Moncler, and UNIQLO, filming well-received commercials in Thailand and New York. At the age of eight, she became the youngest drummer ever to sign an endorsement contract with drum makers Pearl and VIC FIRTH, and has since then also signed with Zildjian, CYMPAD and DW.
She made two appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in LA in January and May 2019 where she was praised by Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters, and later on had a successful live house at the legendary "Whisky A Go Go".
In April 2019, she was selected as one of Newsweek Japan’s "100 Japanese people respected by the world", the youngest in history.
Pearl showcased her talent the 2020 NAMM show in Anaheim the world’s largest musical instruments trade show. She was the youngest female and only Japanese drummer to appear.
The impact of "Yoyoka" continues to spread worldwide. Her favorite drummers are John Henry Bonham, Chris Coleman, Nate Smith, Chad Smith and David Grohl. Her dream is to travel and play sessions with people all over the world.

She is explaining her individual technique variation on the way the rapid two-strike on the base drum is typically effected:
Most drummers use their foot pedal in a rapid SLIDING motion across the pedal face to quickly strike twice. But Yoyoka doesn't do it that way:
She performs a rapid left-to-right twisting pedal press, thereby pulling off the rapid two base drum strikes. Her way is different and it's important because that rapid drum sequence forms an trademark portion of Led Zeppelin's song, "Good Times, Bad Times", which Yoyoka loves.
Using this base drum technique of hers, Yoyoka was able to master the song and ended up winning a prize:
Yoyoka asks the audience if they know of OTHER songs that incorporate this rapid, "TsuToTo" sequence similar to "Good Times, Bad Times" to please let her know, as Yoyoka would like to apply her newfound talent for this drum sub-sequence in learning those other songs, too, perhaps.

I honestly wish we had a video of Bonham laying down all his studio tracks , it makes you work , strive , experiment, and scratch your head in wonder how he ACTUALLY played those classic songs. Right or wrong this gal lays out the track nearly as a mirror of the original track and she even breaks the cool stuff down for you to understand. I learned something from this !!!! You win my likes and upmost respect and wish the best for you . People like you alot. You have something special. I hope you apply that and produce your own signature in music in the future. Thanks for sharing the secrets of the master and doing it in such a cute manner. You are awesomeness. Darryl Johnson Panco/ Led-Zepplica.

Brian Nolan there is a video of her playing some Zeppelin were showing it to Robert Plant he was absolutely floored by this girl playing because he said those sort of parts that Bonham played were very very difficult he really got a kick out of it

I think she's explaining the double stroke on the bass drum, where a lot of people do the slide technique, but she does a twist action with her foot. I noticed this when watching the Good Times Bad Times vid she did. She's using Good Times Bad Times here as well, for an example on the use of double stroke, which was a Bonham specialty.
I may be wrong, heh heh

    素敵だ。。。
    彼女は耳コピ・感覚で覚えた人。 でも、だから、手と足を別々に教えてくれてる。
    私も元々、「耳コピでギター」だったんで、「ピッキングってどうするの?」と聞かれても、「
    Don't think, feel.」ってな感じ。
