  • Hi guys and thanks for tuning in again. In this video I take you through my process of finally making my dream sewing table with some storage of course. I made this table with a really easy simple ikea hack by using two ikea kallax shelves and some ikea dining table tops that I had and I attached some wheels to the bottom of it so I could move it around easily. This table is so easy and is really quick built really. So if you or anyone you know is looking to make a diy sewing table with some storage and that too using ikea materials and some ikea hack method then look no further, this quick built table is for you. This DIY ikea hack sewing table with storage literally took me about 4 hours in total to built and that is because I had a lot of cleaning and clearing up to do, but the total built time was less than an hour making it a quick built for sure. The built of this table would be even quicker if you had your Ikea kallax shelves and table tops undone. I hope you enjoy this diy sewing table with storage and as usual, if you make one for yourself do tag me on my instagram, i would love to see your quick built ikea hack too.

    Hi Seetal, loved watching your video on this IKEA hack. Well done. What is the size of the table tops that you used. I would like to make one like this for myself. Thanks.

    Very clever. An inspiration to me for sure to invest in some ikea shelving and tabletops for a new work center in my sewing room. Thank you for sharing.

    This was the best and easiest video I’ve seen compared to the few other videos I’ve watched. What size is the table I don’t have a lot of space but I have several bookshelves units that I am interested in using to make a table with.

      awww.... Ive seen some people make this with the 4 cube ikea kallax shelves. Its not as big but would be great for a cutting and ironing space.

    Thank you so much for sharing this! I live in a small space but want to make this work for me. One question: is the table too high for you to sew using the sewing machine foot pedal? I only have room for one table and want to make it magically both high enough to cut out patterns while standing, but low enough to sit and sew, using the foot pedal. It's a tough thing to figure out! ;)

      Sorry I somehow missed your comment. The table is high. I stand and sew.

    does it wobble when you sew on the table? I worry that would be the case. About to make my new table next week and worry about its stability, shaking when sewing. Thanks!

    • @SeetalMD
      @SeetalMD  Před rokem

      Hi there. No it doesn’t wobble at all because the ikea kallax shelves are very sturdy and heavy also, I can lock my wheels in place.
