  • Financial literacy isn't a skill -- it's a lifestyle. Take it from Curtis "Wall Street" Carroll. As an incarcerated individual, Caroll knows the power of a dollar. While in prison, he taught himself how to read and trade stocks, and now he shares a simple, powerful message: we all need to be more savvy with our money.

Purchasing a stock may seem straightforward, but selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. I've been working on expanding my $210K portfolio for a while, and my primary obstacle is the lack of clear entry and exit strategies. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

the strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.

I agree. Based on personal experience working with an investment advisor, I currently have $1m in a well-diversified portfolio that has experienced exponential growth. It's not only about having money to invest in stocks, but you also need to be knowledgeable, persistent, and have strong hands to back it up.

Watching this young man for some reason gives me hope. I'm a 50yr white woman who at one time had everything I could've ever wanted. Now I NEVER see my adult kids nor my grandbabies. I live on a puny Disability check & I live in some crummy apartments, also with no vehicle. My family down here WILL NOT help me or co-sign for me to get a loan while they're raking in the dough.
However, this young man learned to read, spell, & taught himself about money. God bless you young man for giving others hope.

Yes but it won't. There has to be feeder and takers. This what we have isn't perfect but it is the best from all that we had. If this system is to survive we need more and more at the bottom as literate slaves. If those slaves get up the master must come down but only a few can be at the top. This is more then a system, it is an ecology. If the slaves gets smarter the machines replaces them. Don't even bother, this isn't about us. It never was.
We're all just little stories waiting to be erased for the bigger story.
If someone finds a solution that only means the person wants your money. Your on your own. Good luck.

Here we have one person going from one theft to another. Like trading stocks is some sort of pinnacle of human ethical potential. Surely there are better ways to attain wealth (not even going into the question whether blind attainment of financial wealth would be a meaningful singular goal in life) than being a broker, trading stocks. The Holy Bible doesn't make you a better person. If you are rotten , nothing can change yourself. Instead , all the motivation and the good qualities have to come from inside yourself. There are people who go to the church to plan robbery or worst just because police is so blind that won't go to church to see if is all good or the observant are praying regularly. You don't need a bunker to plan a crime.......church has been one of the best place where Mafia boss met to discuss about what to do.....a word to the wise....

Thank you brother. You've inspired me to teach this to as many as I can. I've alway felt financial knowledge is lacking amongst the poor and middle class.

I was about to steal . Then I hear this man giving a good example and motivated us ,So what I did I stop doing what I use to do because I know in the future I will regret it so I stay away from everything now I feel free.

Man made me realized that my reading skill means alot to those who can't read. And reading skills could lift you up from your problems. Best salute to this man.

This is just amazing. I truly hope he can get his freedom and write a book. We need people with his knowledge in our society.
