My dealer assembled and delivered it 3 1/2 years ago. Now the lid and base are 1 inch off. The lid is now one inch back and it’s cause the rear of the felt seal to tear in half. How do you correct for an obviously bad hinge?
I think the video would be more helpful the the person installing the egg could talk throughout the process and provide tips along the way. Having the music does not add value to the video
cfunk10 I have a friend that bought one of those when I bought my egg because he is notoriously cheap. After 17 years I still have mine and he doesn't have his. Something about the ceramic splitting at the worst possible time. Oh well.

How much torque do you use when tightening rings? There is no guide or statement regarding this in assembly instructions.

Greg LaCour Lift the flat steel part up. It will stay in place so then you can put the dome on top of the bottom and secure the band around it.

Man, glad I bought a Kamado Joe. I didn't have to do any of that crap, other than putting it in the stand, which came included by the way.
