How fast is Ice Barrage Sorc with 80 HR invested? Project Diablo 2 Season 9 - build showcase | PD2

- Hello guys, as Season 9 is slowly dying out, I decided to make an Ice Barrage Sorc showcase for you.
First, I show skills, stats, and gear, and then we run a fat and dangerous T3 map - Canyon with 188% extra density, which takes about 8.5 minutes.
This is my first attempt at voiceover also during being ill, so it was clumsy and uncomfortable and everything, but I believe still better than without it!
This season was truly a Sorc season, so the gear was crazy expensive, and in total it is above 80 HR.
However, there are budget variants for building this, and I can make another video, if you are interested. I tried frost nova and frozen orb as well, and Ice Barrage is my favourite.
For those who haven't played Project Diablo 2 - this is the most balanced D2 mod which feels like original add-on and is thoroughly curated, moderated and regularly updated.

P.S. one of the unique rings I found during this run was a BK skill ring, but it did not survive corruption :sadge:

I use 3os spirit ward (fade proc for extra res) with neg req maek jewels/facets, occultist gloves, %life ormus and nightwing 2os on both. I use 125 bp on my frost nova sorc. No difference in damage or speed but much tankier. Nice build man
Cool, I totally forgot that spirit ward has fade proc. Your build sounds strong. For me, I just wanted a 200 fcr for fast zapping - dunno if it is much stronger than 105 bp, because to reach 200 fcr you have to give up a lot
Have you compared the fathom/Medusa combo to a decent cold mang song? The higher fcr would give you options and more open sockets.
Thanks for suggestion! I did not try it, but considered it a bit. So, I started the season with skull collector - I still have a very good one in my stash. And it is pretty similar to mangs, I guess, though in case of Skull Collector you don't get more damage, but ton of mf and survivability, if paired with ES. The difficulty with Mangs is that it doesn't give you resistances, so you probably want to go ES - but then it does not give you crazy maek as Skull Collector does. On the bright side, Mangs will be the top damage option, for sure.
Is there a particular reason why you dont have barrage on left click and tp perma on right? Just playstyle?
Sorry for slow response. In short, to have barrage on left you either have to hold shift while shooting or to click on mobs, which is not very convenient.

Metal Grid infinity golem, ac3 warshrike merc. Give it a try.
a3 warshrike looks like tons of fun, but I'm not sure I can keep the golem alive :))
@@JB_tries_yt the golem snapshots, so stack all your +skill gear, take a skill shrine then summon him. You can always desummon him and get the item back. He doesn’t like some map bosses tho.
That's a different built entirely and uses very different gear and skills.

I think fortified maps are the play for ice barrage.

@@bigdave4400 its very close to 80hr, most of the gear is expensive, especially now into the season. You can always argue about the prices, but the reality is that its around 60-80hr investment

My inferno sorc is faster and only about 15 hr
