Ok when you were holding up the Gold palette next to the Golden palette, the Gold palette reminded me a ton of Yucca!
Tbh I thought that there was something missing from this color story when I first saw it too but I also think this palette release was catering towards that sun kissed look we all want this season while offering a palette that would appeal to her older clients as well keeping that established client because this is a competitive market everyday kinda color story and the shades and shimmers are more forgiving and flattering 😅that being said she’s one of those palettes that you can build off of well ❤that you pulled out the og 😮still🤩a stunner

My favorite everyday palette…. I like the my dream palette. It has neutral colors (nurture) for when I’m more fair in the winter, and warmer (unity, Carpe Diem) for when I have a tan in the summer. I love Serenity and babies and spontaneous. I will admit, I also love using this palette with other palettes too. In the winter I use my dream with Xenon. In the summer I like using my dream in its own but I also love using the shade Galaxia with this my dream palette. (Galaxia is from mini starlette and mini retro).
Bronze is too orange. I do like it in summer but that’s it. I do love I need a nude but I reach for those cooler tones in the winter more. This new golden palette. I do like the shades Nubia fizzy and Aura. The mattes are fine. But I just am not a gold lover. Most of the golds in this palette are orange gold and I do not like that at all. I do like Nubia how it’s more of a wearable gold. Because of that shade it makes me like this golden palette more than the Gold palette. I don’t like the greens in the gold palette on myself. But I will admit that palette was more fun to use because the teals and greens made it so much more fun to look at. So when you used the palette it was so much prettier to see those other colors even though I didn’t use them, lol.
Thank you so much for this review! Your points are exactly why I'm not picking this one up. I fortunately picked up the original Gold palette on her most recent ( and Last) restock of Gold last summer/Fall and I'm sooooo happy I did. I'm so disappointed that she took out literally THE best shades from the Gold palette!! That duochrome lime green and gold shade from Gold is stunning! And the teals are the perfect addition to the Browns and gold shades in the original. I feel like the last few palettes have been so monochromatically boring. I feel she is following Pat McGrath and taking the safe route in her color stories. It's so sad. I passed on Xenon and regret purchasing I Need A Nude. Thank God the indie brands have been releasing such awesome color stories because that's all I've been buying lately. I love my original Gold ( pigmentation is much better than the new from side by side comparison swatches) and my mini Gold! I definitely will not have FOMO fornthis one!😂😂😂 Thanks, Brittany! I feel i am seeing the Naked Honey from Urban Decay and I think i prefer that one from Urban.
Good review! Game changer with that they are magnetic and you can switch out colors that are sort of meh with a color you personally love to make it your own. So true. I didn't have the original large gold, have the mini ... it's a bit redundant but summer into fall should get use... thanks
I’m hoping Natasha will give us some of the teals in a jewel toned palette for holiday, in a midi palette, and then we can mix and match and customize this palette if we want to. The greenish duochromes you can maybe find something similar in the yucca palette? And swap out some of the shades? Or if you have zendo you could swap out some blues or the teal shade Mantra. I do think python is prettier than mantra, but it could get you by. Or swap out one of the green cream to powders from yucca or retro glam.
Edit to add: I do wish we would see the shade Aurora in a midi palette someday. Did I ever wear that shade? No, but it is so stunning maybe in a different palette setting maybe k could find a way to use it. So we need it in a midi so we can mix and match, lol
Definitely will pick this beauty up and customize it with some of her other palettes. I don’t have the original gold and almost bought it a few times on Mercari. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

This is an easy pass for me! But I saw a post on IG that she might do the same way with retro. Hope she releases a glam gold that would highlight the teals and the duochromes!!!!

Ok I have to watch the video but I laughed so hard at your intro, LOVE your honesty. That was exactly my thought! I don’t understand she didn’t include those fun colours! I’m glad I have the original Gold palette, so this is such an easy pass. The one thing I do love though, are the very light mattes. As a very fair skinned woman, those are so easy to blend the colours further. But that’s about it ;)

Yep I pulled that same shade out of mine and replaced it with palladium from bronze and now I’m thrilled with the whole thing 😆

I love my OG gold palette. And the mini extension. I WISH ND would have came out with something better, under this concept. It isn’t all new shades - which ANNOYS ME. Shades seem awful redundant. I don’t know. I just feel like she could have done better. Love your video 😘😘😘😘
I’m a warm olive and I love the ND Gold palette. Mine is old at this point but still performing well, too. The mattes are my jam. I use them ALL THE TIME with lots of different looks, not just Gold palette specific looks. They are my basics. I love the blues in big Gold, but I actually never use those when I open Gold to do a look just using that palette. I always go gold. I DO use the Lime Chrome and Brass shimmers which are the greenier golds and not in Golden--but I think she has those kinds of shades in Yucca, so I’m okay.
Golden is like INAN for someone with my undertone. I’m totally fine with it not having the blues or the other greener shimmers. I like INAN a lot, but it’s too cool and pink for me as a “nude” palette. Golden is totally that for me.

I don't reach for the blues in Gold palette that much either, but I do reach for the duochromes. I'm just happy to have fresh mattes that are in the Gold palette. I'm definitely going to pair Yucca with this one!
The Golden is my version of the Bronze and Yucca because as much as I love to look at those palettes, the orange and yellow tones don’t flatter me whereas these tones do. I don’t have the OG Gold or the mini and my Biba is getting on in years so I am ready for this.
I have the yucca and the retro glam, and I feel like with those shades and what’s in the golden I can make something close enough to the OG gold.

I totally agree, the golden palette seems boring in comparison. I’m lucky I still have my original gold palette and it’s just a game changer
i don’t have the OG gold palette, and i’d definitely pick up the new golden one, but i WISH she would’ve kept the greenish/brass shimmers from her gold palette and gotten rid of some shades. i WISH i had the gold palette, and i refuse to buy it on poshmark/mercari, because it’s wayyyy too expensive. thank god i have my mini gold palette!!! i’m just glad that it’s not a super warm/orange palette, because i’m not a huge gold lover, but it’s absolutely gorgeous!!! the packaging is stunning!!! i would absolutely do the exact same thing and replace some of them with my favorite green/gold shimmers and i can’t wait to see what you do with this palette!!! i would pick up the INAN palette before picking this one. the glam palette is my favorite ND palette, but i reallllly want the INAN!!! 💛💛💛
That's why I wanted her to make a midi Gold with these same sparkle lime toppers. So many people wanted it, but the price point was ridiculous.

the INAN is so pretty!!! I prefer the more sparkly shades and that one definitely has the sparkly shades! i’m not sure if the new golden has as many sparkly shades as I would like, or as many of the kind of finishes that are in the INAN palette!

Excellent review as always ❤ I am soooo upset that.the new palette excluded the teals. I missed out on the original gold palette and will have to settle for this. I begrudgingly ordered it and it’s on its way 😢. But I also compromised and ordered the alter ego version so I could at least have the teals. I am hoping she releases a mini golden palette which will include the teals. If we make enough noise she might listen to what her customers want.
I think you will absolutely love the Goddess palette. I'm thinking about buying it again.
I’m sad. I wanted Lime Chrome. She could have at least kept that one. I did buy the palette though.
Is it just me or are all but like 2 of these shimmers disappointing? I went and swatched it in store and the mattes were fabulous, but the shimmers were just more duds than not. A couple of them were really flat metallics with no sparkle! Where are the Yucca shimmers but neutral?
I completely agree! I wish we saw the same shimmer formula in Yucca.
@brittanyrae_beauty Right? Like we know you're capable. I'm definitely spoiled by companies like ER, BUT I want a neutral palette from them with these colors but Indie formula.
Gold is still my all time favorite! Probably some nostalgia mixed in but the tones suit me so well too, and the formulation is truly special. I’m definitely disappointed by the golden palette, it’s a pass for me. I think Yucca is a better gold remastered than this one. Appreciate the review, Brittany!
Yucca shimmers are way better than Golden.
I'm a yellow undertone and am glad the teals r gone. 😅
Teals just turn a very unflattering sickly green on me. I have to bring in smth other than a neutral to make them look good.
Thanks for acknowledging some of us have never had the Gold palette or an attachment to it.
I can see why ppl r attached, but I just want those neutrals bc those r my neutrals, they're high quality, AND they're magnetic.
For non-yellow undertoned ppl, it's just another neutral "brown" palette. But it's not. Bc all other neutral palettes are too pink, orange, or cool for me - drugstore or highend, w a few exceptions.
So far, the only neutral palettes I've found are CP's all matte quad She's a Natural (I have 3 backups) and Essence Nothing Compares to Nude (quality is decent, but undertone is perfect). UD Naked Honey and CP C-3PO are more colorful yellow leaning than neutral.
Thanks so much for paying attn to getting the undertone as close to IRL on camera. My Sephora doesn't have it in store, so I can't verify the undertones in person.

For me when 8 shades are the same it’s a big PASS.
i didnt buy the gold palette when it was getting phased out because i was waiting for the midi version. so this release, knowing its supposed to be the gold... im upset lol this new palette sucks

Meh. I like the concept but I like to be able to create a variety of looks with a large palette, and for that much money, it's just too repetitive. Also there are many indie brands who do luxury feel formula too, so ... I guess she is targeting the people who only shop the big brands at places like Sephora and thats what makes money 🤷🏻♀️ same as PMG, who only sells pink...

I returned it already. Take the bronze glow put it on your lid. Use any shimmer you have. It will be better than this palette. Tada saved yourself 69 bucks
I feel like we all already own so many browns and golds.... yawn.....
