- YES. Wheel spacer size matters, in my opinion. I installed the 20mm wheel spacers on my TESLA Model S and love the new look!
The spacers are 20mm and they equal to approximately 3/4 inch space. This will widen your wheel/tire stance on your TESLA (Model S, Model X, or Model 3). I might want to try the 25mm wheel spacers in the future. The 25mm wheel spacers will equal to approximately 1 inch wider on each wheel/tire. But that may be too wide.

Yeah there's definitely a difference with the spacers installed. Nice work Todd
Thank you!
You do know it's easier to apply downward force when loosening / tightening bolts. Therefore, you can use your body weight as leverage, making those tasks much easier
Dang! That's a great look!
Looks good Todd. Thanks.
Thanks Ron.
Has the tire wear been even since using the spacers?
yeah it looks great - more aggressive looking now! jus curious do you notice anything different in handling, driving, range with the spacers ?
I really don't notice any difference. Only the way I feel when I walk up to it in a parking lot 😁
Great video! I also have a refresh Model S but with the 21" Arachnid referral wheels. I wonder if the 20mm spacers would be ok with it?. Also did you use regular WD40 or the WD40 parts cleaner? Just wondering because regular wd40 on brake rotor would contaminate the brake pads and will brake squeal in the future. But man, your MS looks way better with the spacers on!
I used regular WD40. I just sprayed it on and wiped it off. There was nothing left to "sling-onto" the brakes, it evaporates :) I was really happy with the 20mm spacers...in fact, I almost think I should have gone with 25mm spacers. Thank you for your comment. It makes me feel good about my decision :) -Todd
Did you have any issues with the tires rubbing the fenders? Have you lowered the suspension to the minimum and tested it?
No. No issues at all. I like to ride in the lowered suspension setting, so no rubbing. Take Note, I don't know if this makes a difference, I have this tire size...it's slightly different from the stock OEM size. Size: 255/40R19.
I have 20mm spacers. I tried putting them on and the studs were too long. So when I would put the wheel on, it wouldn’t sit flush on the back of the wheel.
What model do you have? What wheels? Same spacers as in the description?
I saw the original screws stick out a lot. and you didn’t need to cut them to make it flush to the 20 mm spacer?
No cutting. There are deep holes in the spacers for them to fit.
If you do not cut the bolt, it is dangerous as it may touch the wheel. Be sure to cut off the ends of the bolts. My wheel is the same as the wheel in this video
What happens if you don't lock the brake calipers?
I watched another video that showed, while trying to tighten the lug nuts, the hub would spin freely. But that might not be the case if you have dual drive motors. I just did this because I didn't want to try and climb back into the car and hold the brake pedal after I lifted it on a jack. I have dual drive, so I might not have had to do this....
@@twHomeShow ahh okay, just picked up a M3p, I'll look into that. Thanks!!
@@my_RS4 Awesome. Congrats!
You should NOT have have been using the extension when torqueing the spacer bolts. If you must, then counter the torque by using one hand to push the head exactly opposing the force from the handle.
Yaaaa you're overthinking that bud
Looks killer would be nice a lil lower but not if u don't like it looks great anyway
Not only do u need a longer Tq wrench. U would do well investing in a cordless impact wrench so u can get those lug nuts off way faster ...doin it by hand is a killer n time waster. its worth it
Push down on the torque wrench. Not pull up.
Come on.
