Harrisburg Lincoln & Lancaster Railroad

The Harrisburg Lincoln & Lancaster Railroad is located on the Stone Gables Estate in Elizabethtown, PA. Due to a change in our plans, we made a last minute decision to visit the Stone Gables Estate for their Independence Day Celebration. We toured the grounds and the impressive Star Barn but the highlight for me was seeing and riding the Harrisburg Lincoln & Lancaster Railroad. The place is immaculate and the newly constructed engine house is impressive. They have a replica of the Lincoln Funeral Car that we toured as well. They have grand plans for expansion including a turntable, water tower and covered bridge.
An additional steam bonus was the miniature traction engine making ice cream up by the Star Barn.
