  • Kobe Bryant tells Graham Bensinger about playing against Michael Jordan and the best advice Jordan gave him. Bryant recalls sleeping on the floor before the All-Star game against Jordan and the critical advice that Jordan gave him. Bryant also looks back at his Game 2 loss to the Celtics and driving around for two hours after the game, figuring out how he would help the Lakers win. Plus, Bryant says that he would want to relive his draft day experience.; taped in 2012

Kobe Bryant was asking Michael Jordan for tips on how to improve in the
middle of their game against each other, which shows exactly the amount
of respect he had and still has for Jordan and the fact that Jordan
actually gave him tips showed what kind of a player he is, and what type
of greatness he was passing on to the younger generation of players who
grew up watching and idolizing him. Two of the greatest to have ever
played, alongside Magic, and I'm grateful for what they have given to
    this sport.

But its lonely on the top amen!! it helps to grow to be 6'6 but no matter your size. its all about what you're willing to do too your body to be great and pray it holds up. It's a lot too this sport my body didn't survive it but i pass the knowledge to others. it scares people away but that what it takes too be great ask this guy in this video.
So every ball player I ask ( WILL YOU SET SCREENS FOR THE STAR, OR WILL THEY BE SETTING SCREENS FOR YOU!)

nba was really deprived of a great one- never getting to see lebron vs Kobe in the finals
it could and hsould have happened in 09 with LA vs CLE but ORL beat CLE, and it should and could have happened later with the LA with howard/nash/gasol/kobe- VS MIAMI with BRON/WADE/BOSH- but LA sucked.
having the two best - meet inthe finals- it would have been huge- rarely do we get that matchup. Russ/wilt, bird/magic, mj/magic,mj/clyde, mj/barkley- and each time - its an epic battle.

clyde drexler wasnt an all star that year, and this was the year after the 50 greatest ceremony, so i guess clyde just happened to be in the locker room? or maybe kobe was half sleeping and it wasnt clyde.

What advice did Mike actually give Kobe?
'Stay away from the Gold Diggers! They will ruin you!'
Kobe's covered answer to your question, Graham?
'Be Yourself Kobe. Just be yourself.'
***Every athlete and celebrity always gives the same answer...................'I just try to be myself. Be true to whom I am. Be real.'

Thanks for nothin Jordan. It wouldn't have hurt Kobe to pass a little more, especially when he had Pau on the team.
Kobe: maybe I SHOULD pass a little more... nah fuck it. Michael Jordan said to be myself. Imma gonna jack up even more shots.

      @hoot2416 Před 7 lety

      Scott M I say he'd have won more. I've
Watched Kobe for his entire career and am a Lakers fan since 91. We all know he's his own worse enemy and could shot the Lakers out of games. How many free agents didn't want to play with Kobe basically because he's a big hog? We got to see some pretty historic offensive performances and I'm thankful for witnessing that and all the 5 rings but it wouldn't have killed him to have more of a passing game.
