  • I have been working on this project for a while now, and it is finally done.
I wanted to make my own herringbone pattern table. and just went ahead and made one, but not without trouble, it warped quite a bit, and used some time the straighten it's by glueing a plywood plate on the backside while it was being hold straight, and that fixed some of it, but not entirely, so it is still not completely straight, so if you have any good Ideas, please leave a comment.
and because it had taken so long to make, I unfortunately lost some of my videos so not all content is there.
But thanks for checking out my video.

Finally someone using the herringbone pattern beyond just 2 rows. To me 2 rows makes it look more chevron with staggered points. Herringbone is such a dynamic pattern. Great job it’s BEAUTIFULLY DONE!

    Hi there,
You made a lovely oak herringbone table (watched on CZcams 👍). You stuck an 8mm sheet on ply on the underside and it appeared from the footage there was a 4/5mm shadow gap around the 4 sides, yet I noticed the oak lipping was flush with the underside on the shot where you were drilling pin holes into the legs. Did you cut the 4 sides of the table with the track saw again after the ply was stuck to the underside so the oak lipping would finish flush to the ply?
BTW - to stop the table from bowing, you need to recess U channels along the length. (Router to recess then threaded bolts to secure)
I’d be really interested to know the answer to my query above and thank you in advance!
    Best
    Sam
